What does it mean to totally trust God? How do you do it?
I was asked this question just a few days ago and i began to give a very basic answer. Well as I began to speak the Lord stopped me and said "NO" that's not what i need them to hear right now, they need to understand what true faith is." So I stopped talking and said, we will have to come together and sit down with the word of God and our dictionary to see what God is actually tying to say to you. yesterday the Lord began to speak about what it means to "Wholly" Trust Him! He bagan with a scripture that is widely used in the body of Christ, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen, for by it the elders obtained a good report." Hebrews 11:1-2
What is faith=> belief, trust in someone or something, trustworthiness of someone or something, trust in God, etc.
Now faith is believing or trusting(because it requires action)
Substance=> matter or material
Now faith or beliving in the Substance
What is our substance the we are believing in? Jesus or it should be! the rich young ruler when he was told by Jesus to sell all he had and to distribute it to the poor was saddened and walked away from the faith because his substance was the materials he possessed but as a blelievers our substance shoud be Jesus the provider of all materials.
"Now bleieving in Jesus Christ as being who he said he is (the Son of God, our savior, redeemer and deliverer, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose on the third day with all power,giving us victory over sin, sickness, death and disease, and given us back our authority the enemy took in the garden)
What are the things that we are hoping for? We are hopping for and pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling and running with endurace the race that is set before us while patiently awaiting that great day when the Lord will descend dow n from heaven and we will be caught up to meet him in the air, to reign forever with him! If you can loook back over your life and see a difference since you have believed Jesus as your savior, then Him being your substance has been Substantiated=> confirmed, strengthened.
"Now believing is Jesus Christ is our substance and we are hopping for the day when we will reign with himin eternity."
So how do we wholly trust Him? When we wake up in the morning in spite of how we feel or how things look, we are seeking the fac of God for him to order our stemp, order our speech, knowing that we are the head and not the tale, and have the victory no matter what the day might bring. We are already healed, we are already delivered, and already victorious!
Faith is what we need in this hour!
