THE BODY FITLY JOINED...
Ephesians 4:15-16
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
It is my desire and I also encourage each of you to join together as ONE body, fitly joined, supplying the needs of one other for the advancement of the Kingdom of God and for the edification of the Body of Christ.
Join us for fellowship, encouragement and networking. We can share announcements & events in the Houston and surrounding areas and support one another's ministry efforts.

Will the Real "Clergy" Please Stand Up?
If we take the New Testament seriously, anything that promotes the traditional "clergy/laity" categories must be stopped. Are those in "the pastorate" willing to renounce the title "Reverend" next to their name (cf. David Foster, "Call No Man Teacher, Father, Rabbi….Or Pastor?," Journal of Pastoral Care, Jay Adams, ed.)? The whole mystique that surrounds "the pastor" must be brought into line with Christ’s statement to the apostles: "you are all brethren." Making unbiblical distinctions among ourselves results in some awful traditions, as the following illustration shows: "It was doubtless with assurance born of the reverence with which he was customarily regarded, that by stamping upon the meeting-house doorway floor [John] Smalley made known to his congregation the moment of his arrival, so that members of importance might rise and make him their obeisance as he passed down the center aisle on Sabbath morning" (Mary L. Gambrell, Ministerial Training in 18th Century New England, pp.113-114). We may not duplicate this particular obeisance, but the spirit of this illustration is still repeated a thousand different ways in our day.

Girlllll.. now how are you gonna wait till the last minute to tell us about a seafood boil that happens TOMORROW!!! I would looovvve to be there but I already have plans for the entire day as well as Sunday.
Friends on BPNs HOUSTON GROUP, PLEASE, PLEASE, give us at least one week's notice (if not more) for your events so we add them to our calendars or adjust our schedules if needed.
We can't go if we don't know. (smile)

SERVOLUTION
What is a Servolution?[ surv-uh-loo'-shuhn ]
1. to initiate a complete and radical change of a persons life through simple acts of kindness for the glory of God.
2. God's Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven.
3. A church revolution through serving.
A Servolution is not an event; it is a culture. Infusing this culture into the DNA of your church will change the view of the world and your perspective of the needs of those who love around you. This movement is rumbling throughout the body of Christ - a revolutionary army of people ready to take up this mandate. We are actively pursuing the lost, the forgotten, and the poor to show them a God who is passionately in love with them. We stand ready with one heart, saying, "I will serve others and show them the hope they can have in Jesus."
