All Things Are Possible With God
MATTHEW 19: 24-26
24. "And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.''
25. When His disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, "Who then can be saved?''
26. But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.''

I want you to imagine that you have never heard about God!! All of you life you worship trees, clouds, rivers, basically nature. Then after years of worshiping objects you are told that there is a mighty God who is interested in you personally. He sent his Son to die for your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. You want to know more about this Personal God and what He can do for you.
You listen to stories of how this God performed miracles, signs and wonders, different types of healings, how this God delivered His chosen people from their enemies, you learn of how this God used people to accomplish His will and further His Kingdom.
Then the bottom falls out, YOU ARE TOLD THAT THIS PERSONAL GOD NO LONGER DOES THESE THINGS, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL??? This is happening in churches all over the United States. False teaching about a loving God who no longer performs miracles and healings is being taught in many churches today. People are disillusioned about God. They hear about what HE used to do, but not about what HE continues to do. GOD is still in the miracle working business!!! HE has not lost HIS power!!! His Word says that He is “The same yesterday, today, and forever [Hebrews 13:8]. I wish to declare to you today that my God can and will continue to do the impossible. “For with God, ALL things are Possible.”

Sermon Summary:
The things that may be impossible for men pose no problem for God because, as Jesus said, "With God all things are possible." Come and be encouraged!
•• I remember in a prayer meeting that I attended some time ago, I heard one brother cry out to God, “Lord, you opened the Red Sea!” His prayer had a big impact on me.
• I was immediately reminded of the verse above: “With God all things are possible.”
• There is nothing too difficult for Him. Nothing!

Look at Exodus 14 starting with verse 10.

Exodus 14:10
And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord.

•• Terror! “There were the Egyptians.”
• Remember the relevance — the Egyptians had held them in bondage for 400 years!
• As you try to break free from things that have held you captive, remember — “With God ALL things are possible.”
• And of course we know the rest of the story. God delivered Israel from the Egyptian army by opening the Red Sea miraculously.
• All things are possible with God!
Vs. 15
15. And the Lord said to Moses, "Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.

•• God told them, in essence, “Don’t just stand there paralyzed with fear. Go forward!”
• Fear can make you give up. Don’t! Go forward. “With GOD ALL things are possible.”

Vss. 16-18
16. "But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
17. "And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.
18. "Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gained honor for Myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.''
•• In times of difficulty, listen for God’s marching orders: “Raise your staff...stretch out your hand...”
•• Remember, God is willing to intervene: “I will harden [their] hearts... I will gain glory...”
• And remember: “With God all things are possible.”
Vss. 19-20

19. And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them.
20. So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did not come near the other all that night.
•• No matter how big your opposition is (here, the Egyptian army), protection for you comes from:
• “the angel(s) of God”
• “the pillar of cloud,” representing God Himself
•• God and His ministering angels will “come between” (20) you and your enemies.”
•• Whatever the enemy, “With God ALL things are possible.”
Vss. 21-22
21. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.
22. So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

•• As Moses obeyed, God did the miracle:
• God divided the Red Sea!
• God stood it apart as two walls of water.
• Israel walked through dry shod.
• “Nothing is too difficult for thee.”
•• Are you caught between an army and an ocean?
• “With God all things are possible.”
Vss. 26-28
26. Then the Lord said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come back upon the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.''
27. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when the morning appeared, the sea returned to its full depth, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. So the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
28. Then the waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. Not so much as one of them remained.

------ the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived.
•• Keep listening to the Lord and obeying Him, as Moses did here.
•• “The entire army of Pharaoh...not one...survived.”
• “With God all things are possible.” — God is able to overthrow all the opposition against you.

Vss. 29-31.
29. But the children of Israel had walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
30. So the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
31. Thus Israel saw the great work, which the Lord had done in Egypt; so the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord and His servant Moses.

•• Israel saw the Lord’s great power on their behalf and (31) “put their trust in Him.”
•• It’s a wonderful, uplifting process:
(1) Believe the Lord, that “With God all things are possible.”
(2) See Him work His great power on your behalf.
(3) As a result, you are able to trust Him even more.
Are you facing natural shortages? Food? Money?
•• Jesus multiplied the loaves and fish.
• “With God all things are possible.”
• Are you dragged down by declining hopes, diminished faith, even the death of a personal vision for your life?
•• Remember, Jesus literally raised the dead!
• All things are possible with God.
• Are you facing some fiery trial or persecution?
•• Remember how God delivered the three young friends of Daniel from Babylon’s fiery furnace.
• “With God all things are possible.”
• No matter how great an obstacle you are facing, remember: Nothing is too difficult for God.
“With man this is impossible, but with God
all things are possible.”

Father I come before thee with thanksgiving on my lips! Lord, let your promises turn into testimonies in my life, in Jesus name. Let your mercy be renewed upon my life today, Lord. Let your wonders of old become wonders of new upon my life.

Jeniqua Chantel Johnson is a 26 year old woman originally from Colonial Williamsburg, Va. She is a loving, vulnerable and powerful leader who believes in transforming the world as a whole. Her personal vision is to be in contribution to at-risk youth , as she was one herself. Being a "rebel" to a system that she interpreted as folly, she found herself in prison at 22 years old. Since then, she has dedicated her life to being an organizer of this generation’s future. She plans to infiltrate the educational system by reintroducing the importance of critical thinking. From Ms. Johnson’s experiences in school, she often found herself bored because she adamantly believes that school systems told her what to think and how to think independently. In her eyes, it has been a trend for teens to go astray and ultimately end up dropping out of school due to a lack of stimulation. In leading by example, she plans to develop a group home with a foundation of unconditional love and incorporates an empowerment of youth residents. With a goal of stimulating typical family life as much as possible. One of the goals of her group home living is to increase the independence of residents. Group home staff members will teach residents daily living and self-care skills, providing as little assistance as possible. Daily living skills include meal preparation, laundry, housecleaning, home maintenance, money management, and appropriate social interactions. Self-care skills include bathing or showering, dressing, toileting, and eating. She plans to incorporate a responsible living facility to prepare residents for their lives outside of the group home. Unfortunately, group homes have received much opposition from communities. NIMBY (acronym for Not In My Backyard) describes the common reaction of community residents when they discover that a group home is targeted for their neighborhood. Current research suggests that protests frequently involve concerns over personal security, declining property values, or a generalized threat to the neighborhood's quality. Some researchers believe that prejudiced attitudes such as ignorance, fear, and distrust are the true reasons for protest. Usually, neighborhood opposition is unsuccessful due to provisions of the Fair Housing Act of 1968. However, such opposition can be detrimental to the goal of integrating residents into the community. The NIMBY phenomenon is also a concern because as deinstitutionalization continues, the need for additional group homes increases. Ms. Johnson realizes that she gets to do alot of work and she is open to coaching and support. She is currently in school majoring in Human Services, and by her having been at risk herself she has no intention on giving up. She is the source of her global vision that she relentlessly aims for, which is the responsible management of the world’s natural resources.
