THIS IS PART OF A ARTICLE THAT I FOUND TO BE SO DISTURBING, EVEN THOUGH WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT WAYS OF LOOKING AT WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD, I TOOK THE LIBERTY TO START THIS DISCUSSION FOR OUR OWN CLARITY, TELL US HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT HOW BLACK MEN ARE BEING ACCUSED OF TURNING THEIR BACKS ON THEIR BLACK WOMEN AND HOW HAS THIS AFFECTED OUR CHURCH? AS A WOMAN I SEE A LACK OF MEN, MY CHURCH IS NOT FILLED WITH MEN, BUT WITH WOMEN AND CHILDREN!!! SO AS FOR ME I BELIVE THAT THE ROLES ARE REVERSED FOR A REASON, FOR IN THE LAST DAYS THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WAS PREDICTED.....

Some Thoughts on Choosing Sides or The Ongoing Betrayal of Black Women by Black Men
Via Celie’s Revenge: Radical Feminist Jurisprudence!

It seems like a dated concept, us being I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T women and all, but if hip hop and Black pop cultural representations of Black men and women are any indication, it appears that Black men feel a rampant need to restore some lost sense of manhood and control. But whatever Black men have lost, it was lost because of white supremacy, not because of Black women’s strength: our strength kept and keeps Black men alive.

If our strength and success as Black women is not the strength and success of Black people, what is it? The answer is always the same, and our own cultural entertainment and media reflects that answer: Black women’s empowerment emasculates Black men. There is no possibility that self-respecting, non-homophobic, and woman-respecting role models will emerge for Black men when the media and other cultural products are more concerned with demonizing and dethroning Black women (now where did I put that crown?) than it is with wrestling down white male power. The proliferation and consumption of pornographic images of Black women by Black men, the ongoing sexual harassment we experience in public spaces, and the multitude of other misogynistic indignities we face daily as women are just some of the conditions that speak to a Black male project to put Black women in their place–in the place white men put Black men, with hatred of women folded in. Their vision for our freedom really means their freedom. That vision is nothing more visionary than them as strong fathers and us as sexy mamas. And I have no interest in being anybody’s sexy mama!

END.

NOW AS A BLACK MAN! TELL US YOUR TAKE ON THIS! WE KNOW THAT AS A BLACK CHRISTIAN MAN YOU HAVE TO FACE THE WORLD AND FORGET SOMETIMES WHO YOU ARE REPRESENTING, AS A CHILD OF GOD WE MUST ALL COME TOGETHER FOR UNITED WE CAN ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING AS A WHOLE, HUMAN RACE. WHAT THE WORLD HAS MADE OF US IS NOTHING COMPARED TO WHAT AND WHO GOD SAID THAT WE ARE TO BE. WE MUST EXERCISE DOMINION IN THIS EARTH.

TELL ME HOW ARE WE EXERCISING DOMINION IN A WORLD WHERE PEOPLE ARE MEARLY WALKING AROUND DARK, BLINDED TO THEIR OWN IDENTITY? I GET UPSET TO SEE THE FASHION IN WHICH WOMEN ARE VIEWED IN THE MEDIA, MY BROTHERS ARE TARGETS OF A RACIST SOCIETY BECAUSE OF THEIR INABILITY TO BE A DRIVING FORCE....THEY INSTEAD FOLLOWERS OF THE JONES'S THEY ARE LOUD AND INCONCIDERATE OF WHAT WAS THE WORLD.....I WAS ONCE LOST BUT NOW I AM FOUND, ARE YOU TRULY FOUND/ OR ARE YOU HANGING ON THE FENCE?

SHOW YOUR LOVE FOR THE POWER, THE AUTHORITY THAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!! SPEAK UP BROTHERS!!! TAKE A STAND!!!

CRITISM:

"If you ignore criticism, you will end in poverty and disgrace; if you accept criticism, yu will be honored."~PROVERBS 13:18

"If you listen to construtive criticism, you will be at home among the wise. If you reject criticism, you only harm yoursef; but if you listen to correction, you grow in understanding."~PROVERBS 15:31-32

Don't speak evil against each other my dear brother and sisters. If you criticize each other and condemn each other, then you are criticizing and condemning God's Law."~ JAMES 4:11

I can related on the foremost that as a black man....it is really difficult to see a way out to be strong due to the fact that black women really can't trust the "actually" black man. In turns to say, a real man knows things that can portray actually finding themselves and looking inside instead of see the way society is imaging a black man. A lot of times, black men feel so out of place that the only to vent is to see over other areas that can lead to a bad path. The church really need to do a better job on seeing the black men are getting beating by society; and that they can help if they will stop looking at the negative side of the black man and try to embrace what God has call him to be.
YOU ARE RIGHT AND WE AS A PEOPLE, NEED TO COME TO TERMS WITH WHAT HAS HAPPEN TO OUR HAPPY HOMES, WE HAVE IN TERMS LET THE DEVIL TAKE YOUR FAMILY VALUES AWAY!! OF COURSE THE MEDIA AND THE WAY WE VIEW THINGS THESE DAYS, BRING TO THE TABLE A NUMBER OF FACTORS THAT WITHOUT GOD IN OUR LIVES, WE WILL NEVER MOVE FORWARD, BUT YET STAY FIXED ON THIS "FAKE REALITY" THAT THE BLACK MEN HAVE BEEN DIVERTED TO ACCEPT, WE ARE TO DO MORE TO EDUCATE OUR CHILDREN ABOUT WHERE AND WHAT THEY ARE TO THIS EARTH, I HAVE A SON AND I AM HOPING TO TAKE A STAND FOR HIM!, HE WILL BE GIVEN A FAIR CHANCE TO EXPRESS AND TO LEARN AT HIS OWN LEVEL AND POTENTIAL...HIS FUTURE IS IN GOD'S HANDS....AS A MOTHER I WISH TO SEE MY SON EXCEL TO BE A MAN OF HONOR AND VIRTUES....THATS MY DREAM FOR THE AFRICAN AMERICAN MAN!!!
I am Elder Alan Hollis. God has given me a burden for all Black people, but for Black men in particular. We are nearly absent in the churches. We need to first take a stand for Christ. We must live in holiness to fulfill God purpose in our lives and achieve our proper place in the world. And we must behave like MEN. Being afraid to talk about HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, homosexuality, etc., at home and at Church is foolishness and shows our collective immaturity. But we don't want to deal with these issues. As a minister of the Gospel and a Black man, I have been called by God to "galvanize" Black men into action. For example, the segment of society that is showing the greatest (and most alarming) increase in HIV/AIDS infections is Black women. Lets face it, they aren't getting it from themselves or poor nutrition. These Black women are being infected with HIV/AIDS by Black men. Yes, men on the "down low", men having multiple sex partners, but refusing to get tested or where a condom because that would be admitting they have a problem. Then, there are other issues like domestic violence which the Word of God speaks directly and clearly against (see Malachi 2:13 - 16), and the lack of Black fathers in the home, being the man and father in holiness and love, and the lack of Black men in the Church, being the example and voice of Christ that we are ordained by God to be.
Please invite me, Elder Alan Hollis (luke4.18ministries@gmail.com or call my cellphone 904-377-7985) to come and speak at your church or community event as it is my desire and calling to preach the Word of God to our Black people. Contact me for prayer of just to share your thoughts. See my profile here on the Black Preaching Network
sorry so late! you are right my brother, and in my community our men are actually lost, the youth and men are in a state of oppression that only God can redeem them from. As I get ready to do the work of my father and assest what areas I wish to concentrate on, I will say the minority!!!! women and children, youth and lastly men....a kingdom divided against itself will fail, but with God all things are possible. lets Keep praying for the Lord to poor down his blessings on his people....MATTHEW 5:3 BLESSSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT, FOR THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. 4 BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO MOURN, FOR THEY WILL BE COMFORTED. 5 BLESSD ARE THE MEEK, FOR THEY WILL INHERIT THE EARTH. 6 BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HUNGER AND THRIST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS, FOR THEY WILL BE FILLED 7 BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL, FOR THEY SHALL BE SHOWN MERCY...

WE ASK THAT OUR FATHER WILL HAVE MERCY ON US!!!
