“the One who came still comes and the One who spoke still speaks”

September 14

Our Lord God, the Almighty, rules. Let us rejoice and be happy.
Revelation 19:6-7 (NCV)

In the Book of Revelation...we, the soldiers are privileged a glimpse into
the final battlefield. All hell breaks loose as all heaven comes forth.

The two collide in the ultimate battle of good and evil. Left standing
amidst the smoke and thunder is the Son of God. Jesus, born in a manger--now
triumphant over Satan....

And we, the soldiers are assured of victory.

Let us march.

Live Without Failing
Dr. Frederick K.C. Price
Second Peter 1:5 - 10
5 ...giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,
6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,
7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do thee things you will never stumble;
That word stumble in the traditional King James says fall and it literally means to fall down or fail. Now He said you will never stumble, never fall. That word never literally means by no means ever. It also carries the idea by no means, not even at any time. God says that if you will do these things you will never fail, never fall, never stumble, never. That's incredible.
Our subject is fail proof living. Living without failing. Failure in any area of life, whether in the natural realm or the spiritual realm has to be a permitted response. In other words it just can't happen. There has to be permission given by you to do so. If this were not possible, God would never have told us.
Look at what God tells us to do. These are our responsibilities. He says, in verse 5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith... Now we start out with faith as reborn children of God. But then He says add to your faith. That's our responsibility. Add to it. Add what to it? Add virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. He said if we do these things you will never, never fail.
I want to talk to you about self-control, because if we are going to be a good testimony for God's glory, we are going to have to practice self-control. Obviously by the term self-control if you turn that around that is saying, in essence, control self. Unfortunately, there are multitudes of spirit-filled, tongue talking. Bible-toting, faith-believing Christians that are out of control. It is obvious just simply by observation.
Colossians 3:1
1 If [This word connotes-qualifier, condition. There is a condition here.] then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
2 Set your mind [in the traditional King James it says affection -the real word in the Greek is "mind."] on things above,...
Now I have a question. Don't you agree that God Almighty would be extremely unkind to require something of us that He would very well know we were incapable of doing? Therefore, if He tells me to do something I can do it.
And if I don't do it that means that I am in gross violation of the will of my Father.
1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
2 Set your mind on things above, not things on the earth.
3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
5 Therefore put to death [Kill it. Here is one of the very few places in the Bible where God authorizes killing in reference to self-not someone else.] your members [A member is your hand, fingers, mouth and etc.] Therefore put to death your members which are on earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
He said put is to death, kill it. Paul said, "I keep under my body, I keep it under control." That's what it means to put it to death. Don't let it tell you what to do and don't let it control or direct you because it will if you let it. I have to do that all the time in every area of life because there are times right here at the church, I want to knock somebody out. I want to go home and get my .44 magnum and come back and scintillate their heads. That's how I feel. Some of the crap that some of the people here do-working for the church-taking money out of the ministry. I want to blow their brains out and splatter them all over the floor. That's how I feel, but I have to control myself.
5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion,...[See fornication is not a member. Pick up on that. He says put to death, but it takes physical organs to commit fornication. All He is saying to act like those members are dead.]
If were to go back to what they did back in the 18th Century and hook up all these young women with chastity belts we wouldn't have any problems about entering in. There would be no unwed mothers because the lock box is on there. If we would take a machete and line up all the men and go by and [chop, chop] we wouldn't have any problems. But that is what He is saying. That's what you have to do if you want to stay under control. You have got to act like it's gone. I can't get in trouble if it's dead.

What Precious Gift

When God chose, of His beloved Son,
To be lifted there on high,
What was the gift He gave
As He suffered there to die?

Did He open up the door
To let the light within my soul?
Did He take away the darkness
So I could be made whole?

Did He replace all of my emptiness
And fill me with His love?
Did He bless my heart with His peace
By coming from above?

Does my life now have a purpose
To wake upon each day?
Shall I rest on every promise
As He shows me of His way?

Will He bubble up within me
Like a living flowing spring,
To bring me joy and laughter
And every good between?

Is the power in the blood of Jesus
Moving me on to be,
Not what I was just yesterday,
His death to set me free?

Oh, lift me, precious Jesus,
Into Your sufficiency.
For, You gave Your life to fill me
With Yourself, eternally.

The Safest Prayer
Dr. Creflo A. Dollar
Have you ever prayed and wondered if God really heard you? Have you ever tried praying to God without really knowing what to say? If you've ever experienced a challenge in the area of prayer in your walk with God, you are certainly not alone. But don't be discouraged; there is a fail-proof way to pray that guarantees results every time. It is through praying in the Spirit, or praying in tongues. When you tap into this awesome spiritual gift, not only are you able to pray the perfect prayer, but you have a tool of intercession that baffles and bewilders the devil!
First, it is important to understand that the ability to pray in tongues is from God. There is a difference between your personal prayer language of tongues and the gift of tongues, whereby a person prophesies in tongues. In such cases, the Bible says that an interpretation is needed (1 Corinthians 14:5). When you pray in tongues in your personal prayer time, however, you are communicating with God directly in your heavenly language.
First Corinthians 14:14-15 says, "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also." Your prayer in the Spirit is just between you and the Father, so you don't have to worry about giving an interpretation to anyone else, although you can ask God to give you the interpretation of what you just prayed.
Scripture also reveals that praying in the Spirit is a tool of intercession. Romans 8:26-28 says:
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
This passage is often misunderstood. Religion has used it to justify the bad things that happen to people, saying that "all things work together for good." While God can take your mess and turn it into a masterpiece, I don't believe that catastrophe, disaster and tragedy happen for your good or to teach you something. This scripture is talking about prayer and, specifically, praying in the Spirit.
Since the Spirit of God knows the mind and will of the Father, when you intercede in tongues, you pray the perfect will of God. Satan can't interfere with your prayers when you pray in the Spirit because he doesn't know what you are saying! As a matter of fact, not even you can get in the way of your prayers when you pray this way. Since you don't know what you are saying, fear, doubt and unbelief can't stop your prayer from coming to pass. That's why the Apostle Paul says that all things work together for good to those who are called according to God's purpose-to those who pray the perfect will of God.
Don't let anyone talk you out of your God-given right to pray in tongues. It is not a gift that passed away with the last apostle, and it is not spooky or weird. The disciples all received the gift of tongues on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4), and this gift is available to you, too! Just pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and open your mouth in faith, speaking whatever comes up out of your spirit. You'll begin to pray more confidently and more effectively, secure in the knowledge that God will hear and answer your prayers.

God's Thoughts

LORD you have done such great things! How deep are your thoughts!
Psalm 92:5 (NCV)

God's thoughts are not our thoughts, nor are they even like ours. We aren't
even in the same neighborhood. We're thinking, Preserve the body; he's
thinking, Save the soul. We dream of a pay raise. He dreams of raising the
dead. We avoid pain and seek peace. God uses pain to bring peace. "I'm going
to live before I die," we resolve. "Die, so you can live," he instructs. We
love what rusts. He loves what endures. We rejoice at our successes. He
rejoices at our confessions. We show our children the Nike star with the
million-dollar smile and say, "Be like Mike." God points to the crucified
carpenter with bloody lips and a torn side and says, "Be like Christ."

Are we out of the will of God? The Bible says we are. Let's find out people. I don't want any of us who Love the Lord to be OUT of the Will of God because we lack knowledge..................is that not the reason we perish?

Prophecy Revelation
Obadiah
The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.
2 Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.
3 The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?
4 Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.
5 If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grapegatherers came to thee, would they not leave some grapes?
6 How are the things of Esau searched out! how are his hidden things sought up!
7 All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; that they eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him.
8 Shall I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?
9 And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter.
10 For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.
11 In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them.
12 But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.
13 Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity;
14 Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.
15 For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.
16 For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.
17 But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.
18 And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it.
19 And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.
20 And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel shall possess that of the Canaanites, even unto Zarephath; and the captivity of Jerusalem, which is in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south.
21 And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD's.

The Ministry of the Believer
Bishop Keith A. Butler
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you. II Thessalonians 3:1 (KJV)
Every believer has a ministry. When you were born again, you received the ministry of prayer. Your prayer is vital if you are going to get all that God has for you when you hear the Word preached. Even the apostle Paul desired that the people would pray for him so that he could preach what the people needed. Hence, if you don't pray for your pastor, you won't get all that you need from his ministry. You want the Word of God to have free course so that you can get all that God has for you.
There is so much to pray for. That is why a believer should have a prayer life that consists of praying for others. If you are an individual who prays for other people, that ministry is as effective, if not more effective, than ministers preaching in the pulpit. And God is going to give you credit for all the lives that were changed, all the people that were helped, all the healing that took place, all the Christians who were enlightened as a result of your diligence to pray. For all the people that had something good happen in their life, you get the credit because of your prayer. I am well convinced of that.
I am well convinced that when we get to heaven, the Father will not be calling the big named ministers first to receive the biggest crown. He is going to call grandma first. She's the one that sits at the very back of the church. Nobody saw her, but that woman was praying before she got to church. She prayed all the time the minister was preaching. She prayed when she left the church. She prayed for this sister, and that brother. She is always being used by God to pray.
The one who gets the greatest reward is the one who is available to be used by God whenever He needs them to pray. This is what that praying grandma is like. Every time you turn around, the Holy Ghost can use her to pray. And she's the one who caused the big named ministers to be able to have the revelation in their preaching. And she is the one who operated in the ministry of the believer, and prayed and caused many to be delivered and saved. God is going to call that little woman up while all the rest of the big time ministers say, "Who is she? I never heard of her before." But God says, ''I heard of her! And I am giving her the biggest crown.''
Scripture Reference: Matthew 19:27-30
