ARTICLES OF FAITH

1. We believe in God Almighty, Father of all, who is above all, and through all and in us all.
2. We believe in Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, and Savior of the World, truly God, and truly man, who for our salvation was made man, who died for all, rose for all, and is Lord of all.
3. We believe in the Holy Spirit, God in us, as given on Pentecost to equip, teach and guide the church.
4. We believe the canonical scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, 66 books in all, to be the inerrant word of God, and the final authority to interpret faith, doctrine and practice.
5. We believe in holiness and righteousness as proof of godliness, and in justice, mercy and faith, the weightier matters of the law.
6. We believe in mission, the heartbeat of God and the need of the hour, to preach, teach and heal the nations with the gospel of Christ.
7. We believe the one, holy, catholic church, apostolic in faith, Pentecostal in power, evangelical in practice and charismatic in action.
8. We believe that the charismatic gifts of the Spirit were given for all ages to benefit the church and manifest the power of God in signs and wonders.
9. We hold sacred the catholic Creeds, the Apostles’ and Nicene, as defining the true faith of the church of God.

10. As heirs of the Anglican faith we assent to the “39 Articles of Religion” and the “Book of Common Prayer” as guide for faith and practice.

11. We accept the ordering of Bishops, Priests and Deacons for the exercise of godly authority in the church, as caretakers of the flock of Christ.
12. We believe in the priesthood of all believers, and so we accept that Christian women can exercise godly authority in the church within reasonable limits.
13. We believe that the salvation of lost and sinful man and his regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary in this present life.
14. We believe in the physical return of Jesus Christ to the earth as the Judge of history, and the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost, one to the resurrection of life, and the other to the resurrection of damnation.
15. We believe in the universal brotherhood of men, in rainbows, not colors, in meaning not tongues. The Church is a rainbow nation, and so we refuse to see the Jew in us or the Samaritan in others as the basis for charitable action.
16. We accept the ministry of celibate persons who willingly give up marriage and make themselves eunuchs for the kingdom's sake.
17. We recognize the three historic vows of chastity, poverty and obedience as Biblical models for ministry people.
