We read about many preachers and their wives getting a divorce, even national bishops and evangelists who are on television. My question is, why is this happening? Is it something the wife is not doing? Are the men of God wanting their cake and eat it too? Is two big ministries in the family one too many? Is the wives who are also in ministry paying too much attention to their own ministry and not enough on their husbands. What makes the man of God have an affair? What makes the man and woman of God become distant? Please give me your opinion....

Divorce rate generally is more of the work of the devil against Christendom. It's a way to break the spiritual fiber of the church to discredit t. Therefore instead of finding which of the couple is at fault , we need to stand in the gap to resist the work of the enemy instead. That will go a long way to get the problem solved or curtailed.
AFTER MUCH RESEARCH AND EXTENSIVE SURVEYS, I HAVE A BRIEF BUT EVER SO HUMOROUS COMMENT ON DIVORCE,.......MARRIAGE IS THE MAJOR CAUSE OF DIVORCE
Care to elaborate?
Bro Darwin...that is hilarious! LOL
DISOBEDIENCE IS THE CAUSE OF DIVORCE..
Are you married or have ever been married, Preacher?
I'm married....
You are not alone in taking notice of this. One answer to this is that they have married the wrong person. In pursuit on becoming a pastor many churches do not want single pastors, therefore they marry the person that they are with. Or in the worst case rush a relationship in order to have a spouse.
Single men are forbidden to pastor a church..according to scripture...correct?

I know it is not good for Pastor's to be single. But, tell me your reasons why they shouldn't.
1 Timothy 3:2, 12

"A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach. . . . Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well."

He must be one who keeps his family in good order: That rules well his own house, that he may set a good example to other masters of families to do so too, and that he may thereby give a proof of his ability to take care of the church of God: For, if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God.

I will study this more..It could mean If he has a wife and family...but so far I don't get that from the verse..

Actually, the correct interpretation means that the Pastor/Bishop (if married) must be the "husband of one wife" which means a "one woman man". In other words, giving the context of the scriptures, he must not be a polygamist and not some whoremonger who sleeps around with women in the church. If the pastor is single, IE Paul and some of the other disciples, then he is to still be a "one woman man" in that if he seeks to marry, do so and no other woman.
