I remember when
I thought I would never sing again
And You wiped the tears from my eyes
You sang to me a lullaby

Even when I did not know what to do
You gave me a song to pull me through
A melody of deliverance and praise
I’ll worship You throughout every day

Though there were times
When I didn’t quite understand
I could hear sweet music
every time I would lift my hands

You gave me a song
A song the angels can’t sing
You told me to lay all my burdens down
And with Your wings
You would cover me

Whenever the dark clouds
Of life come my way
I can lift up my hands
And praise them all away
Because You gave me a song
You gave me a brighter day

When I was sick
And feeling so down and alone
It was You Lord
Who sent an angel right to my home


With a sweet song
And a healing touch
Oh how I worshipped
And praised You so much

So many, many times
You’ve been right there for me
You’ve been my daily bread
And my Living water to drink

Now I don’t let things bother me
Though there are times things go wrong
For I’ve found a secret place of peace
When I listen to my song

Yes, You gave me a song
A song in a weary land
You told me to cast all my cares on You
And You’d turn my mourning into dance

So when the chorus of life
Is singing out of tune
I sing unto the Lord a new song
And worship in the Throne Room

Singing songs and hymns
making melody in my heart unto the Lord
Praising my Savior all the day long
Thankful for grace to trust Him more
