Author, Motivational Rap Artist, Youth Speaker
Marcus Parker was born September 3, 1974 in Port Arthur, Texas. He is an American author, writer, and motivational rap artist. He graduated from Lincoln High School, Port Arthur, and has a degree from Electronics Systems Technology, Community College of the United States Air Force.
He became a top-notch electronic technician in his field, working with semiconductors and investing his earnings in tech stocks.
The tech stocks allowed him to retire early and he decided to diversify his income by investing in the real estate industry. With the 2001 stock market crash, some investment and diversification decisions that he made earlier ruined his business career.
Later on Parker was indicted by the FBI for his association with Eric Farrington, a real estate tycoon whom Parker met through an infomercial on late night television. After a confession as to his involvement and while under a plea bargain agreement, Parker was able to pick up the pieces and restart a promising career that at first, seemed to be a done deal.
Marcus continued to record motivational rap music because he knew it was needed by the youth that he still works with today. Through his extensive travels to schools and other venues, and by keeping track of his entertainment career, Parker now has more than 50 hit recordings and three books filled with positive influence under his belt, and with more to come in the future.
After publishing his autobiography "The Product" in 2004, he traveled to schools and churches speaking to youth groups about staying positive and getting past their personal hardships.
He has had speaking engagements at Academy Park High School, Sharon Hill, PA; Gus Garcia High, Austin TX; Molina High School, Dallas Tx; Memorial High School, Port Arthur; Madison High School, Dallas; Sam Houston, Port Arthur; Spruce High School, Dallas; Faith Walk Juvenile Boot Camp, Dallas; and Wheatley School, Port Arthur.
