Reaching the homeless, addicted, and prostitute for Jesus

If they aren't coming into our churches, then we must go to them! These are the least of them; the heart of God. It is our heart to encourage, pray for, & help with ideas on reaching the lost in the highways & biways of our cities for Christ.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9 (NLT)

Praise God, Minister Hicks! What a joy it is indeed to be a part of what God is doing with such a precious people. Don't stop what you're doing. God is truly going into the highways and byways and compelling them to come! Let's not grow weary in doing good. The time is short. God bless.

Praise God, my sister! Much help is needed. It's not about giving a hand out but, a hand up. Sometimes we need a little help just getting to the next step to where God may be taking us. Keep up the good work!

Shalom:
I have a personal ministry where I give "tote bags" and "back packs" to the homeless through the Social workers here in Tulsa and through a pastor on the West Coast.

I was dismayed a few years ago when I helped in a feeding station for the homeless that they often had all their belongings in a flimsy thin plastic trash bag.

I started going to the second hand stores and looking in their luggage department, and they always have useful bags that can be bought for $1.00 or less on certain days. I ship them in a "Flat rate" box to a pastor in California who puts a bottle of water and a roll of TP in the "tote bag". He also has a church "mother" who makes a couple of dinners that he takes out with the bags.

I have also purchased at a surplus store individually wrapped sanitary napkins for the ladies.

The "sock" drive is also an excellent idea. I have just e-mailed that idea to this pastor to see if he wants to try it.

Let's brain storm ideas that we all can do to better help the homeless
in our areas.

Praise God for what He is doing! We need more soldiers such as yourself. Keep up the good work. God's got something special in store for you. God bless!

Evangelist Charles, u r preaching to the choir. We have an active non-judgmental outreach to the homeless. We are a small church, but we have a militant non-judgmental ministry to them. In fact, we have a sock drive going on right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My slogan, even in preaching is, “You don’t mind if I keep it real do u???????????? It’s real that all of us r candidates for being the person we look down upon! When I see a homeless person, I c my self!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God bless you, man of God! May God enlarge your territory. Be a part of what God is doing over here in NJ by supporting us in prayer or whatever else He lays on your heart to do. Also, start small right where you are. "He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done" Prov. 19:17 INV I will lift you & your ministry up in prayer as well.
