Matthew 15: 18 - 19
18" But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:"
If it is only the things we speak, the actions of our flesh, the thoughts and intents of our hearts which defile us what can we do to change our ways? How can we better our way of thinking? What would you minister to someone who needed and wanted to change but needed your help, would you be willing to help and how would you help?

Amen, I agree with that and also once the word of God becomes the final authority, It then become sharper than a two edge sword cutting and rooting out those things that are evil. This is why the word of God is so important because it will bring a change into our lives. To believe in God is the beginning of wisdom and when we believe in God, walk in faith and trust in him we can believe this scripture Matthew 7:7 which says
"ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN YOU; SEEK AND YE SHALL FIND; KNOCK AND THE DOOR SHALL BE OPENED UNTO YOU. -
