I too thought this was a site for anyone that is single and not a dating game. I'm single and not looking either and we can get some very interesting comments from single believers I feel. It's not a sin to be single and I'm not getting in to that but will sooner or later. Even Paul said he wish all were like him meaning single because if you're married then you'll devote yourself to your spouse. (paraphrased but you get my meaning) It's not about multiply and be fruitful any longer. God said that to Adam and Eve and to Noah and sons, Ishmael, Jacob and in Leviticus with the blessings of obedience and no where else in the Bible. By the time of the NT the earth had been fruitful and multiplied. I said I wasn't going to get in to this and did anyway. God bless.

Minister Busby, I can't speak for any sisters on here except myself. I am on the "singles ministry" because I'm single...and in ministry. I'm not looking for a hook-up because THIS isn't a dating site. I for one never said I didn't need or want a "man". I said I would wait until God SENDS the one HE has chosen for me. Am I satisfied with being single? I sure am! God keeps me...plain and simple. Be Blessed.

Message: CONFRONTING YOUR GIANT
Text: 1 Samuel 17:1 - 58
Date: 25th March, 2009
Venue: God’s Heritage Ministries Int’l, Port Harcourt City, Nigeria
Preacher: Evangelist G.A Alao Jr.

When I am talking about giant here I am not referring to the description of the man you just read from the above bible text whose height was six cubits and a span, with an helmet of brass upon his head, armed with coat of mail, greaves of brass upon his legs, a target of brass between his shoulders, his spear like a weaver’s beam with the head of spear weighing six hundred shekels of iron.

But ladies and gentlemen whether you believe it or not we are faced with the giants of life challenges of today and the fear of tomorrow, some are marital, relationship, family, academic, job, business, ministry they pose threat to us and even sometimes succeed in kicking us out of our faith. Ultimately, its not surprising to know that some of us are just like the armies of Saul who staying at one end of the valley watching the giant messing our life up, the bible says in vs 4 that there went out a champion out of the camp of the philistines called Goliath of Gath and like have always told people David was not anointed king by election neither by selection but because he was chosen by choice and until you are chosen you cannot defeat the champion. Your giant could be ill-health, bills climbing like walls of Jericho to put you under pressure, a husband or a wife, looking for a job, a child but until you confront your giant you cannot be crown a king, until you confront your giant you can’t take your palace, your blessing and your joy. For you to have a significant breakthrough you must break loose from the giant holding you back, delaying your miracle and recognition. Until David killed Goliath the House of Jesse never gained recognition before Saul.

David said unto Saul who is this uncircumcised philistine that defiles the armies of the living God. Until you are uncomfortable with your situation you cannot give it a confrontation, to confront your giant is not with arrow, bows nor spear for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but they are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, for let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace and obtain mercy to help in time of need, not with arrogant or pride but with boldness.

Oh my goodness! I am trying to tie this up but permit to show you something more in vs 39 after they have put upon David the armour of war like a trained army, he said unto Saul I think I have to pull them away because they have not been proven and tested, permit me to say your boss maybe good to you now but have not been tested, friends can express so much words of how much they love and miss you but they have not been tested, I feel like blowing off the roof over me because there is one thing that I am so sure and confident about is that we serve a God who have been proven and tested, for it is He who calleth forth those things which be not as though they were, if you have ever been down there and God literally brought you out and up to where you are right now you can testify to this Hallelujah!!!!……………..To Be Continued
