I agree with Sister Hood and Sister Thomas. We had a singles fellowship last night and there were two couples there, with babies in tow! The advise they gave was sound but not from a singles point of view and very much out of context with the program of living single. Again, no disrespect to married coules but you walk is now different from mine. I too would like to see a singles conference that deals with the situations that face christian singles, not just about getting married or who should ask who but about living daily in God's plan for my life. Thank you all for the great suggestions. It is good to be able to discuss these things here!

I understand your position. However, I encourage you to not miss your blessing and sound wisdom from someone who has been where you are now. Do not generalize that all married people have forgotten what it feels like being single. You will know truly when someone has a "Word in Season" to meet you where you are now.

As we know the bible says seek the kingdom of god and his righteousness and all the other things would be added unto you.
I know everyone is not a Paul or Pauline, however remembers the Lord know what and who will fit whom to be the best help meet, for when the Lord blesses he adds no sorrow with it.
Patience is te key waiting on God is the answer!
For he knows what we have need of even before we ask!

A word of encouragement for my single brothers and sisters. Continue to consecrate yourselves to the Lord and let Him reveal to you the blessings that He has for you. Keep you mind on Him and He will give you perfect peace.

I am honored and humbled by your comments Sis. Hood. I have been single most of my adult life, not by choice but by design. I married very young and raised four children alone and in church. Many times I would sit and hear men and women declare what or how I should feel as a single woman - and felt condemnation when I declared that they did not know because they were not single. Noel Jones did an excellent job in explaining it to the Body of Christ in stating that God created us social and we have social like Adam were not created to be alone (although we are often quoted the scripture from Paul who declares that some should remain unmarried); I did not nor do I pray to be unmarried, yet I don't and will not settle for breathe and britches. So I remain single until such time as I am equally yoked in purpose and vision. Thank you for your comments and God is a wise God and gives us the voices that we need when we need them.

while was pondering, wondering and praying for a word in this new month of october. It is a month of its own significant miracles, A month full of unlimited harvest and boundless opportunities, october will bring increase on everyside to usher in the month of november / december for thanksgiving. if this month marks these lines in your life say a loud Amen!!!
