God is a God of Truth- How Important is it to be Truthful in Our Representation of Him

I have heard people say in church that Jesus was born on December 25th but do we really know the exact date of His birth and how important is it to be truthful?

It is imperative to tell the truth, because John said in Rev. 21 that all liars have their place in the lake of fire. Do we really know if the 25th is His birthday?
No one knows the exact date. Dec. 25th was a date that the Romans gave to the Christians because they celebrated one of their gods on that date and it was also when the Saturnalia occurred, when the Sun reaches its highest point. It is more likely that Mary conceived around that date. This can be known by a series of events and knowledge that John the Baptist and Jesus were cousins. When the angel Gabriel told Mary she was with child the angel also told her that her cousin Elizabeth was six months pregnant. That means that John and Jesus were six months apart. Now the angel also told Zechariah or John's Father and Cousin Elizabeth's husband that he was going to have a son when Zechariah was serving in the temple as a priest.Their year started in March and not January like ours. The priest's had lots or appointed times which were recorded in Chronicles in the Bible. Zechariah served around July which means John had to have been born around March/April and Jesus would have been six months later if you can follow all this or around September/October.The Bible also says the Shepherds were in the fields tending their flocks during Jesus' birth. In December it was too cold so the flocks were put in caves.
