The True Meaning of Proverbs 31

Who is this women described in Proverbs 31? Is she perfect? How does she handle all that she does? In Proverbs 31:10-31, she is described as a wife of noble character. Her price is far above rubies (Proverbs 31:10)! Now, who is she? She is happy and content. She is also a great witness to those around her. She is not afraid to be different. She has been set apart called out from the world to live a different lifestyle. She is dependable. She looks well to her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. She is kind and generous. She cares well for her children and her husband. She is the perfect woman, wife, and mother. She is wise. Most of all she is a woman who fears the Lord. What does the fear of the Lord mean? According to Strong's Concordance, fear means "reverence." She lives her life for the Lord for her heart is devoted. She honor and respect his lordship. She does everything to glorify her God!

We are design to be that “Virtuous Woman of God” stated in Proverbs 31. It may seem as through this woman was so perfect, that we can message up to the call. Not so! God has purpose our lives for this assignment therefore, he will carry us through. In our sight, we will never be perfect; but know God is the creator of all things. Therefore, every thing that God created was good and perfect in his sight. Every good and perfect gift cometh down from Heaven for it comes down form the Father our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Jesus said in his word "Be thou perfect." Note: with God's help as we search the scriptures daily looking up to Jesus in prayer and fasting all things are possible to those that believe. God can do all but fails. All things are possible in Him. Jesus said in his word "Come unto me all who are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble in heart, you will find rest for yours souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30).

As “Virtuous Woman of God” we stand as great witness to those around us, we put on the whole “Amour” of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we known that we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but it is against principalities, against power, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. And in knowing this we press on fighting, the good fight of faith. We take our rightful place in “Authority” over the thing of this world, downsizing the devil walking in the image of God setting ourselves as great example of God to empower others around us. Denying the flesh… "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me" (Matthew 16: 24). This means we must deny ourselves for the sake of the Cross. It is not our “Will” but it is the will of the father. God’s perfect will for our lives.

We are to follow Christ no manner what the cost. We give our all… This means more than just reading our Bible in the morning and going to church on Sundays. These things are important, but we must acknowledge God as the Head of the Church and allow Him to lead and guide us into all truth. We may never be perfect, as in faultless, but we can be perfect in God's eyes by committing our lives to Christ in obedient of his word. We devote our hearts in "reverence’ of God’s plan and purpose for our lives. God knows our purpose. “For I know the plans I have for you.” declares the Lord… “Plans” to give you a “Hope” and a “Future.” Jeremiah 29:11

And by following God’s divine instructions we can be like the woman in Proverbs 31...far above rubies!
