Music etc.): Pastor Pearson received her Evangelist license in Brooklyn, New York under the late Apostle Douglas Johnson, Jr. Pastor and Founder of the House of Faith Holiness Church. In October of 1995 under the direction of the Holy Spirit Myra was ordained. She also attend the Institute of Christian Works Bible College Seminary in Mount Vernon, Washington. She attended Christ Memorial Bible Institute and Community Bible Schools in Brooklyn, New York. Myra says theology is good but knee-logy is better. Pastor Pearson is also the author of "Women of God You're Gonna Make It." She currently released a CD entitled "Because of His Blood We Have Amazing Grace". She has been an Usher, Assistant Youth Choir Director, Jr., Church Director, Youth Leader and a National Youth Leader for twelve churches and that she is not a novice and there is a price for the "Anointing". Myra says that she is not a motivtional speaker but an inspirational encourager for seminars, workshops, conferences, geared to youth, women and the body of Christ. She has traveled as far as Los Angeles, California to preach good tidings to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, and proclaim liberty to the captives. She is married to Deacon Leroy Pearson, Jr. They have one daughter Amy and three loverly granddaughters Donerrah, Amyirell, Myriele and a grandson, Donald the II.
Dr. Pearson has been blessed to receive several degrees and awards but says her spiritual degrees are BA for Born Again, Ms, Because Jesus is the Master of Her Soul, and a Ph.D, for Purpose Humbleness and Determination but most of all she is Saved, Sanctified and Satisfied and whatever she has acquired the glory belongs to God and Him alone and is part of the Triple A Club Anointed, Appointed and Approved by God and not man. Her motto is: TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!

BEAUTY FOR ASHES

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. Isaiah 61:1-3 KJV

Under the Old Covenant, people wore ashes when they were mourning. Those who had sinned, or who were distraught about something, wore sackcloth with ashes on their head. In Isaiah 61:3, the prophet Isaiah prophesied about the coming Messiah – Jesus - Who would come to give us beauty for ashes. The Amplified Bible says that He came to give us an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes.

Ashes are all that is left after something is completely burned up. In the natural, when something is broken, you can fix it, but if it has been burned up and reduced to ashes, it can never be restored back to the way it was, never mind better than what it was!

After these events, God tested and proved Abraham and said to him, Abraham! And he said, Here I am. 2[God] said, Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah; and offer him there as a burnt offering upon one of the mountains of which I will tell you. Genesis 22:1-2 AMP

By faith Abraham, when he was put to the test [while the testing of his faith was still in progress], had already brought Isaac for an offering; he who had gladly received and welcomed [God's] promises was ready to sacrifice his only son, 18 Of whom it was said, Through Isaac shall your descendants be reckoned. 19 For he reasoned that God was able to raise [him] up even from among the dead. Indeed in the sense that Isaac was figuratively dead [potentially sacrificed], he did [actually] receive him back from the dead. Hebrews 11:17-19 AMP

I noticed that your last name is Pearson and you are from South Carolina. My mother's side of my family are Pearson's also and they live in Gaffney South Carolina. We have other members that are from various parts of S.C as well as NC, I was just wondering could you be from the same family line.

Yes the Pearsons are a large family, and we have quite a few preachers in the midst also. My mom said that it would be her father's side of the family that were mostly Pearsons, her mother's maiden name was Burris. Maybe you can ask around your husband's family to see if this may sound familiar. I would love to find out more about the family.

Moreover, these are some of the books that would cause one to move from a comfort zone, to an intense Biblical High! Praise Yahweh! Now these are some of the books that are recommended:

1. Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible
2. King James Hebrew/Greek Key Word Study Bible
3. Inter perter Bible Dictionary(set of 5)
4. Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary of the Bible
5. Webster's Collegiate or Random House Dictionary
6. Synonym Finder by J.I. Rodale
7. Guinness Book of World Records, copyright 1985

As a note the Guinness Book of World Records talks about the letters "J' and "V" as being the newest letters added to English Alphabet, which is post Shakespearean 1630. So the letters "J" and "V" are only 379 years old. Also In The Hebrew & Greek There Is No Letter J ; Take These Bible Tools And Look And See; All "J"s Are a "Y" And All "V" Are a "W" In The Hebrew; As A Note: Gather as many different Bibles and Dictionaries to help build your Library. Praise Yahweh!
