She is the proud mother of two very special children, James (Alexis) and Danielle along with five beautiful grandchildren and a 6th on the way (Tatiyauna, Izayah, Dariyuana, Iyanah and Jayson).

Desiree's spiritual roots were in the Baptist Church under the pastorate of her paternal grandfather, John G. Overton. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and in Feb 1992 she was filled with the Holy Spirit and in July 1992, through a divine visitation, she received the call into ministry. She received her ministerial license in Sept. 2008 from Bishop Troy Anthony Bronner at Elim Christian Fellowship. She has been a member of Elim since 2001 and is grateful to God to be a part of the Elim family and under the prolific teaching of her spiritual father, Bishop Troy A.Bronner.

Throughout the past 17 years, Desiree has been involved in various areas of ministry including, nursery, youth ministry, street evangelism, organization of evangelistic outreaches, intercessory prayer, nursing home, women's bible study facilitation (church and workplace) and US and International missions.

Currently Desiree serves on the Advisory Council and as a facilitator for Mentoring Women, a one year training component for women in leadership. She also serves as Mentor Liaison and Mentor for the Girls to Women (GTW) ministry which helps to equip young ladies to address various life issues.

Desiree acknowledges the prophetic mantle on her life, and the call to preach and teach the Word of God.

Desiree is a worshiper who loves the Lord and is passionate about Him and His creation. Desiree's desire is that people would know the extent of God's love for them, and that they'd be able to fill in the "gap" in their lives; that is understanding what God's good, acceptable and perfect will is for them, and then being equipped to walk it out.

Thus saith the Lord: "My beloved children, you have red many times in the scriptures you should not fear. The spirit of fear is not from me. I the Lord is peace and love, there is no fear in the perfect love that I am. I want my children to be filled by the perfect love. I have said you would be complete as I am perfect. For as many as are led by my spirit, are my children. They who are the world's friend are God's enemy, for friendship with the world is hostility against God. My children be filled by the Holy Spirit, then you should not execute fleshly deeds. I have a holy people who have sanctified them self through my blood and they are filled of my spirit. Thanks Sis. I got on here and I was confused i watched a conversation with a minister and a prophetess talking about some very sexual inappropriate things. I said MY GOD do we not understand that if god wanted at any moment even before our next breathe he could snatch life out of us. I have talked to some friends who have said that the ministers in there town were dropping dead on the pulpit. like you I have had my time of fallen short but I was so hurt when I did I thanked God for Mercy and Grace. Im watching so many great women and men of God go home to the Lord. One thing That grieves me is them old mothers being gone who would rebuke you and it hurted but you knew it was out of Love. We have got to pick that batton up and run. This is not the hour for us to be playing around and I love people so if I got to hurt their feelings or there egoes for them to get right then so be it I dont want to see them goo to hell.
