Pastor Timothy J. Brown, Sr. was born in Buffalo, New York.



In 1990, Pastor Brown attended West Virginia State University and then matriculated at the State University at Buffalo from 1991 to 1993. Also in Buffalo, he was a member of the St. John Baptist Church (under leadership of the late Dr. B.W. Smith, Sr.). There he received his salvation at the age of eight years old. Pastor Brown was very active in the church. He sang with the youth choir and was the first Life Scout of the Boy Scout troop at the church.

In the spring of 1994, Pastor Brown accepted his call into the ministry and has been serving ever since. In April 1997, Bishop James H. Morton ordained Pastor Brown at the New Beginning Church in Decatur, Georgia. There, he served as an Elder and was an Orientation Instructor for four years.

In September of 1997 Pastor Brown was joined in Holy Matrimony to Colleen Gilliam of Buffalo, New York and from their union, they have two sons; Timothy James, II and Joshua Seth.

In the winter of 1998, the Holy Spirit moved on Pastor Brown and planted him at the New Life Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia. At New Life Baptist Church,

Elder Brown had become a lead instructor of the Orientation Ministry and

Prison Ministry Pastor. He also served as Special Assistant to the Pastor (Rev. Marlin D. Harris). While over the Prison Ministry, Pastor Brown started the groundwork for an after care program for paroled inmates. Revised services to cater to the needs of the inmates, he began exploring for other facilities through which the ministry could spread the Word of God.

Pastor Brown also loves to sing and has sung with renowned groups as The United Voices of St. John, The St. John Radio Choir, The United Voices of New Beginning, and The Atlanta Philharmonic Choral.

In October of 2000, the Lord moved Pastor Brown and his family to South Carolina, and in July of 2001, they became members of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Charles J.J. Jackson, III. There Pastor Brown served as “Armor Bearer” to the Pastor until called to Cleveland Chapel Baptist Church in July 2002.
