I wrote a song in my aunts living room 31 years ago called Time is Running Out because I saw back then the trust between family and friends disappearing. I saw my best friend shot to death by my next door neighbor at Hines Jr. High school in Washington D.C.and that's were the lyrics came from in the song that says "murder has even crept into our schools, somebody tell me what ever happened to the good old golden rules. Another close friend of mine name Harry Pierce Jr. was killed in Viet Nam in 1971 and it was Harry who told me that if he did not return from the war and was killed to keep singing and that motivated me when he was killed to reach for the top and I landed with the group Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. Go to youtube and type in Time is Running Out Melvin Williams and hear the song as it was 14 years ago. I am re-doing it now with a live orchestra. And plan to release it again in 2010. You will be blessed. I am the former first tenor of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. It was there in 1973 that I performed at the Apollo in New York and met Kool and the Gang who were Muslims at the time, and it was there that I became interested in Islam.. In the early 1980's I studied and taught the bible but from a Black Nationalist point of view called Black Nationalism and preached it like that for years. In 1987 I came face to face with the first father I knew in the person of Minister Louis Farrakhan who began teaching me of the bible and the Koran all over again. But in 1996 I began to search the scriptures for myself and question a modern day Phillip( Dr. Jack Evans) and found Jesus to be the Christ. It was after 13 months of study and 43 days of fasting that I received Jesus and the Holy Spirit and added to His Kingdom,(The Body of Christ) now ain't nobody mad but the Devil. Over a Two Hundred Thousand Muslims now know Christ and thousands of non believers now believe on Him. It is my passion to reach the world for Christ Jesus. This is my story.
