Atara Estes, a native of Chicago, Illinois, but now currently residing in St. Louis, Missouri. She is 37 years old, a single mother of two, and a full-time college student. She received her calling in the ministry and gained her foundation in 1995. She moved to St. Louis and came under the teaching of the late Bishop Robert Johnson and his wife Prophetess Shirley Johnson of Brighter Day Christian Ministry. Atara is not a stranger to the ministry; she grew up in her family’s church, St. Samuel Temple, Church of God in Christ in Chicago, Illinois under the late Elder Samuel Patterson whose son Elder Richard Patterson has taken position. She accepted Christ at an early age and has been running for the Lord faithfully since 1995.

Brighter Day Christian Ministry continued to teach her the Word of God and God revealed to her the direction that he was taking her. She grew in leaps and bounds in the ministry of which she became the Praise and Worship leader, also directed the children’s and adult choir and sang in many events as a soloist. She has spoken on the radio for Sister to Sister. Atara has even traveled in the United States with her Pastors spreading the Word of God through song.

Since 2002 Atara has become known to many for being a survivor. Atara was blindfolded; drove to a field, shot and her near-lifeless body was tossed into the trunk of a car. Atara heard the voice of the Lord tell her to reach down just a little further to disable the trunk of the car. Bleeding severely and partially paralyzed, Atara was still able to get out of the trunk. With her surviving such a traumatic experience she has been telling others about the healing and deliverance of God. She is the spokesperson for Victims of Domestic Violence. Atara has entered her other calling “The Sounding the Alarm Outreach”. She believes that you need to sound the Alarm on the Devil because God does not want any of his people to be a victim but to be victorious. Atara’s reason for survival is because she has two beautiful little girl’s who are her biggest fans. She currently sits under the leadership of Pastor Litha Ford & Elder Otis Ford of Center of Joy Christian Ministry. She has taken another step into her calling and has been licensed since September 2008 as a Minister. Atara has become the ambassador of Alive Organization in 2009 speaking to all communities and professional groups interested in learning more about domestic abuse.

She still goes strong in 2011 she has launched her own radio show called S.T.A.O Radio which airs every Sunday morning at 6am CST www.blogtalkradio.com/staoradio. She has not only reached the United States with her message You Can Live Again but she has gone global and people all over the world are now acknowledging Sound the Alarm Outreach motto that once you have survived domestic violence: "YOU CAN LIVE AGAIN"

Atara gives God praise for another chance at life. She is determined to spread the Word of God like it is her last time.

Atara’s favorite words of encouragement are “If God brings you to it; He will bring you through it.”
