An Evening of Gospel Jazz Featuring Jazz Bassist Michael Manson

Michael Manson is described by many as one of most respected bass player in the music industry.

A Chicago native, Manson has played with one Gospel great after another including, Tramaine Hawkins, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Jessy Dixon and James Cleveland. He even played on the Winan's album All Out, only the first of many times he would perform with childhood musical heroes.

He can also be heard on Kirk Whalum Stellar-Award nominated Gospel According To Jazz which was recorded live at the Roy Acuff theater. It featured Kirk Whalum, George Duke and Paul Jackson Jr.

Additionally, Michael has shared the stage with Al Jarreau, David Sanborn, Roberta Flack, Joe Sample, Larry Carlton, Boney James, Rick Braun,Wayman Tisdale, Bob James and Nathan East just to name a few. Michael Manson has clearly joined the ranks of today's premiere jazz artists.

"What I do comes from my heart, comes from my spirit and is dedicated to Him. It can be at a jazz concert or anywhere ...they are going to know about me and if they are going to know Michael Manson they should know that Michael Manson is a family man, is a married man, is a Christian man."

This promises to be an evening of music for the soul and we are sure that the Lord will be well pleased.

We look forward to seeing you there!
