- Apostle E. L. Gales is Senior Pastor of 'The Lord's Tabernacle', Chief Apostle & Presiding Bishop of the 'Pentecostal Holiness Church of Christ' ®, and Founder of both. He gave his life to the Lord at the age of 14, in May 1992, receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost 3 days later. God called him to preach in 1998 at age 19 and he enrolled and began attending the 'Pittsburgh Theological Seminary'.
In May 2006, his Pastor publicly anointed then-Minister Gales to the office of Prophet, and appointed him as the Men's Sunday School teacher and a Bible Study teacher. That August he began traveling the country preaching as an Evangelist, and in November 2006 was formally ordained as an Elder. He furthered his studies at 'Harty Bible School' and at the 'Solid Rock Foundation School of Ministry'.
On April 15, 2007, then-Elder Gales opened 'The Lord's Tabernacle' with 14 others and was installed as the Senior Pastor. In May 2007, the church elevated now Pastor Gales to the office of Bishop. He was formally taught and trained 3-times per week, for 8 months, for this office by other Bishops. At 29 years of age he was publicly Consecrated, by other Apostles and Bishops, and was installed as our Presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle. He continued to preach around the country, on radio, the church's TV broadcasts, and instituted our street, prison, and hospital ministries. Today, all can see 'The Lord's Tabernacle PHCOC' now broadcasting its Sunday services on YouTube every week.
In 2010, Bishop E. L. Gales was publicly Ordained & Affirmed into the highest office in God's church - the office of an Apostle - at age 31 by other Apostles and Prophets. As Chief Apostle of a 60-church International denomination he ordained 3 new Bishops, personally founded churches in 3 states, and received his 3rd Honorary Doctorate of Divinity as well as Bible School Teacher Certification. In 2014 he completed his 4th cover-to-cover of the entire King James Bible, and now working on a 5th. He has been visited by and had conversations with 'The Angel of the Lord', in 1998, 2006, and 2010.
Proving to be a true God ordained Apostle, Apostle Gales has been used by God throughout his many years in ministry to both publicly and privately heal countless sick people, cast out devils, tear down strongholds, restore sight to the blind, cause the lame to walk, to baptize others Saints in the Holy Ghost, the afflicted delivered, and working the signs and miracles of an Apostle of Christ Jesus.
Apostle E. L. Gales volunteers as a Youth Mentor at 'Amachi Pittsburgh', does prison ministry at the 'Shuman Juvenille Detention Center', volunteers at community food banks, does street ministry, visits the sick in hopsitals & nursing homes, is also a member of the 'Coalition For Fathering Families', is a community activist, helps to shelter and feed the homeless and hungry, and also has a college degree in Business Management with over a decade of accomplished corporate management experience. He is also the happy single father of his beautiful and blessed young baby daughter.
As a Bishop and an Apostle he has met and even shared the pulpits of and with many high profile church leaders in many of the major church denominations - including Pastor Norman Hutchins, Bishop Noel Jones, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Bishop Jesse Gavin, Bishop Paul Morton, and more.
Today, Apostle E. L. Gales is Senior Pastor of 'The Lord's Tabernacle', and Chief Apostle of the 'Pentecostal Holiness Church of Christ' ®. In 2015 he reorganized - and is Prelate over - the 'PHCOC College of Apostles and Prophets'. As an Apostle he has ordained Elders, Pastors, Bishops, and even Apostles in many reformations. More importantly his love is always winning souls to the Kingdom of God. He is a true soldier in the army of the Lord and body of Christ, and a Pastor after God's heart.
