Gales is Senior Pastor of 'The Lord's Tabernacle PHCOC', and Chief Apostle & Presiding Bishop of 'Pentecostal Holiness Church of Christ' ®. A 4th generation Pentecostal, he got saved at 14 years old, in May 1992, receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost 3 days later. God called him to preach in 1998 at age 19 and he began attending 'Pittsburgh Theological Seminary'.

In May 2006, his Pastor publicly anointed and affirmed then-Minister Gales to the office of Prophet, and appointed him the Men's Sunday School teacher and a Bible Study teacher. In August he began traveling the U.S. preaching as an Evangelist, and in November 2006 was formally ordained as an Elder, furthering his studies at 'Harty Bible School' and at 'Solid Rock Foundation School of Ministry'. He’s been visited by and had conversations with 'The Angel of the Lord', in 1998, 2006, and 2010.

April 15, 2007, then-Elder Gales opened 'The Lord's Tabernacle' with 14 others and was installed as Senior Pastor. In May 2007 as Founder of the church Pastor E. L. Gales was elevated to the office of Bishop. He was formally taught and trained 3-times per week, for 8 months, for the office by other Bishops. At 29 years of age he was publicly Consecrated Bishop, by other Apostles and Bishops, and installed as our Presiding Bishop, having also added churches in 8 U.S. States, Philippines, and India.

God has used Bishop Gales to both publicly and privately heal countless sick people, cast out devils, tear down strongholds, restore sight to the blind, cause the lame to walk, baptize others Saints in the Holy Ghost, deliver the afflicted, and work the signs and miracles of an Apostle of Christ Jesus. He continued to preach around the country, on radio, the church's TV broadcasts, instituted our street, prison, and hospital ministries, and now broadcasting the church’s services on YouTube.

In 2010, Bishop E. L. Gales was Ordained and publicly Affirmed into the highest office in God's church - the office of Apostle - at age 31 by other Apostles and Prophets. As now Chief Apostle of a 75 church International Apostolic denomination he ordained 4 Bishops, personally founded churches in 3 states, received a 4th Honorary Doctorate of Divinity, and Bible School Teacher Certification. In 2014 he completed a 4th cover-to-cover study of the full King James Bible, now doing a 5th study.

Since 2012 Apostle E. L. Gales has or currently volunteers as a Youth Mentor at 'Amachi Pittsburgh', the 'Coalition for Fathering Families', prison ministry at the 'Shuman Juvenile Detention Center', community activist, food banks, shelter and feed the homeless, and does baptisms and weddings. He has a college degree in Business Management with over a decade of corporate management experience. Apostle Gales is the happy single father of his beautiful blessed baby daughter.

As our Chief Apostle, he has met and shared pulpits with many top Bishops in COGIC, COOLJC, AME, FGBCF, PCJC, many Baptists and independents; men such as Bishop Stanley Smith, Bishop Noel Jones, Bishop James Foster, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Bishop Jesse Gavin, Bishop Paul Morton, and more.

Today, Apostle E. L. Gales is Senior Pastor of 'The Lord's Tabernacle PHCOC', Chief Apostle & Presiding Bishop of the 'Pentecostal Holiness Church of Christ' ®, and Founding Prelate over the 'College of Apostles and Prophets'. As an Apostle he has ordained Elders, Pastors, Bishops, and Apostles in many Denominations. More importantly his love is always winning souls to the Kingdom of God. He is a true soldier in the army of the Lord and body of Christ, and a Pastor after God's heart.
