About Me: (Ministry Info, Hobbies, Fav. Music etc.)
BLESS is an anointed singer. She has a soulful, strong voice. Her songs are her personal experiences and she doesn’t mind sharing them to the world! A native of Windsor, NC, BLESS has a natural attraction for music. She began playing the piano, drums and singing around the age of eight. Not realizing that music was her gift, she entertained through the years in church and expressing herself through poems for amusement. Around the age of twenty-one, God allowed her to see her vision for her life. She then knew that her past musical experiences were for a reason! She discovered that singing is one of her gifts and her purpose is to bring life through music. Her written poems became her songs. She continued to express herself through music. “When I realized that my desire was music, I began to use my voice often”, she says. She has taken advantage of many musical opportunities. She has performed in weddings, funerals, programs, competitions and sung in studios. She has experience in singing and collaborating with others; therefore, she is familiar with the pitch, tone, tune, harmonization, etc. Also, she exercises her writing talents by writing songs often so that her material continues to have potential for marketing! In 2002, BLESS became the second member of a gospel group, “God’s Anointed”. She was used frequently as a songwriter and producer. She gained much experience in performing with less stage anxiety. In late 2003, BLESS became the official drummer for Pleasant Oak Baptist Church, Windsor, NC. She has received several awards for her outstanding performance. She is devoted to practices and upcoming services for Pleasant Oak Baptist Church Choirs. While maintaining her drumming position, in 2006, she became a keyboard player for Center Hill Baptist Church, Tyner NC. She then gained experience in choir directing. She held responsibilities as a leader and minister of music. These responsibilities prepared her for another musician/choir director position in 2006. She accepted the offer with love to Beacon Light Baptist Church, Windsor NC. After receiving the vision to move on, BLESS continued to play, sing and write. She collaborated with many artists to assist them with their album completion. In February 2007,"it was a pleasure to play for The Vanhook Specials(quartet)of Durham, NC." BLESS later played for their church,Deliverance Temple. Although BLESS has an old-fashioned gospel background, she has been exposed to hip-hop since 1998. Because of her hip-hop experiences, today, she relates to the latest music in the industry. Her experiences have made room for her gospel hip-hop beats and lyrics. As of 2012, BLESS is unsigned but continues to move in God and music ministry. She is following a "new" direction. "I may pause for a season, but I want quit.", says BLESS.
