Bishop Romey Coles is a native of Washington, D.C called to Cleveland by God to a ministry of reconciliation, to alleviate a poverty spirit, and a self centered mentality through taking the people to a higher level of living by spiritual truths of God’s word.
The Lord has had his hand upon Bishop’s life, which began ministry leading as an Outreach Minister at Greater Dimensions Faith Ministries. He also served as an armor bearer for three years under his Pastor Warren Edmonson, which led to his recent endeavors. Upon receiving his call to the prophetic, he then was released to a position of assistant at Jabbok Christ Centered Ministries; where he began his prophetic training, under the late Prophet Harold Wilder. Bishop also serves as Senior Prophet and dean of Lion of Judah Ministries, The School of the Prophets. As finishing his assignment of 7 years with Another Touch of Glory Ministries as Chief Elder Overseer and School of the Prophets instructor of its muti-location facilities.
In 1998 the Lord spoke to Bishop Coles to move to Cleveland to start a work with Senior Pastor Sonia Ward from the House of Prayer unto All Nations Church, where he would become senior Pastor. Yet Upon establishing this work, God led Bishop Coles to found a church of his own, and thus The Church of the Lion of Judah was founded September 9, 1998, under the covering of Bishop Rodney Walker of Another Touch of Glory/God is In Control Church in Waldorf, Maryland and the governing still of his Pastor, Warren Edmondson. Bishop is now submitted under Dr. Michael Freeman of Spirit of faith Christian Center, Temple Hills, Maryland and still governing Pastor Warren Edmondson Associate Pastor of Spirit of faith Christian Center.
Bishop Coles has birth out of Lion of Judah Ministries 10 churches and is now fathering numerous churches and pastoral sons in ministry.On September 3, 1996, Bishop Romey Coles was united in holy matrimony to Pastor Rosina Coles and they extended their lives with their 6 children. The Coles’ family has extended their home to numerous teenagers through foster parenting.
He is the founder and Superintendent of Lion of Judah Academy Community School. In 2002, he envisioned Lion of Judah Youth Reformation center which birthed a program called T.A.G. (Teens After God) a youth outreach program. In 2003, Bishop Coles began a motivational speaking seminar entitled “Focus Factor” in which he has spoken at numerous businesses, schools, and organization on the importance of being focused. He also initiated the anti-gang program in the ward 7 community which was featured in The Plain Dealer for the Holiness N the Hood event Bishop Coles started in 2005 to bring healing to the community. He has orchestrated many community events such as Christmas toy drives for needy families, operation homeless, and clothing drives for senior citizens. Bishop Coles is a strong tower in the ward 7 Community after being called upon and fully supported by councilwoman Fannie Lewis.
