I am a native of Columbus, OH and a graduate of the Columbus Academy. I have a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Howard University and have spent the majority of my career in real estate development working to revitalize deteriorated urban areas in several cities across the United States. In addition to my duties as associate minister, I am the founder and Managing Director of Urban Heritage Real Estate Company where I am working on several projects to bring retail development and housing to some of the city’s most neglected neighborhoods.

I accepted my call to the gospel ministry in 2002 after many years of struggling with the relevancy of the modern church in the lives of those who have been written off by society. In accepting my calling, God has given me a passion for reaching out to those on the fringes of the church and the fringes of life. I am a strong believer that many of God’s greatest preachers, teachers and prophets are still trapped in the bars, crack houses, and street corners of America, waiting for those of us in the church to reach out to them with the love of Christ that saved so many of us from the same fate.

I came to New Salem from the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church where I served as an associate minister under Dr. Charles E. Booth as well as the founder and Executive Director of Mt. Olivet’s Urban Resurrection Community Development Corporation. I and my wife, Eltina are the proud parents of five children, Andrew, Anna, Adam, Arielle and Aaron.

Hello and welcome to the BPN family Pastor Davis. I too truly enjoy the preaching ministry of Dr. Booth. Do you also know Rev. Jaz? She came to preach for my father several times over the past decade.
