- Rev. Darren Michael Neal, Sr. is the Senior Pastor of Greater St. Peter Methodist Church of Valdosta, Georgia. He has served in various capacities in both the Baptist and African Methodist Episcopal church since childhood. Although he responded to the call to ministry at a late age, Rev. Neal, made a conscious choice to serve his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a young child. He began as a young child in his home churches of Chappelle Memorial A.M.E. in Columbia, S.C. and Trinity Baptist Church in Florence, S.C. He has been blessed to train and serve with men from the pastoral ranks of some of the leading Baptist and A.M.E. congregations also known for their deep spiritual roots and strong public witness.
He also maintains experience as a transportation manager and rail labor union member with over 13 years of experience in transportation. He maintains experience with labor dispute resolutions, contract interpretation, conflict resolution and problem solving. Expertise includes rail transportation, seniority systems, health and welfare, job bidding and assignment, wage protection agreements, safety procedures, and disciplinary issues. Railroad experience focus further includes the safe operation of freight and passenger trains. As a Law Enforcement Professional, he was involved in the implementation of student peer mediation programs and helped to design a successful juvenile first-time offender's program with the South Carolina Juvenile Justice System in North Charleston, South Carolina. He has a combined total of 20 years experience in Transportation, Law Enforcement, Counseling and Management.
