Derrick Whitt is founder and host of Insight on The Word Radio, and Messianic Pastor of Beth El Study Fellowship in Syracuse, NY. He brings a supportive, empathetic counseling approach as he addresses behavioral, emotional, relational and spiritual issues affecting Jehovah's Witnesses in crisis.

After fourteen years of his life as a Jehovah's Witness, Derrick had accepted Yeshua at Word Power Christian Center in Rochester, NY in 1994 but had fought the thought of being a minster until he was ordained in 1998 with distinctive privilege of serving at Hebrew Baptist Church in 1999 and Beulah Baptist Church as an associate pastor in 2000.

He was also a residential counselor for Central New York Services and had a home-based office in Syracuse, NY. Authored The Day of Jehovah Is Near: Is The Watchtower Society Ready For It?, Pathway to Armageddon: A Benjamin Long Mystery (another part of the book series will be published in 2010), and We Can't Shut Him Up.

He holds a B.A. in Pastoral Counseling from American College and a D.Min. from St. Luke Evangelical School of Biblical Studies. He also had graduated from Hearing of Faith Bible Institute and the State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville under the Educational Opportunity Center program.
