- Desiree Overton, born in Buffalo, NY is the adopted daughter of the late John H. and Roberta Overton. She is the proud mother of two very special children, James (Alexis) and Danielle along with five beautiful grandchildren and a 6th on the way (Tatiyauna, Izayah, Dariyuana, Iyanah and Jayson).
Desiree's spiritual roots were in the Baptist Church under the pastorate of her paternal grandfather, John G. Overton. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and in Feb 1992 she was filled with the Holy Spirit and in July 1992, through a divine visitation, she received the call into ministry. She received her ministerial license in Sept. 2008 from Bishop Troy Anthony Bronner at Elim Christian Fellowship. She has been a member of Elim since 2001 and is grateful to God to be a part of the Elim family and under the prolific teaching of her spiritual father, Bishop Troy A.Bronner.
Throughout the past 17 years, Desiree has been involved in various areas of ministry including, nursery, youth ministry, street evangelism, organization of evangelistic outreaches, intercessory prayer, nursing home, women's bible study facilitation (church and workplace) and US and International missions.
Currently Desiree serves on the Advisory Council and as a facilitator for Mentoring Women, a one year training component for women in leadership. She also serves as Mentor Liaison and Mentor for the Girls to Women (GTW) ministry which helps to equip young ladies to address various life issues.
Desiree acknowledges the prophetic mantle on her life, and the call to preach and teach the Word of God.
Desiree is a worshiper who loves the Lord and is passionate about Him and His creation. Desiree's desire is that people would know the extent of God's love for them, and that they'd be able to fill in the "gap" in their lives; that is understanding what God's good, acceptable and perfect will is for them, and then being equipped to walk it out.

So the letters "J" and "V" are only 379 years old.
