Biography of Elder Prince Woodberry

Elder Prince Woodberry is a native of Boston, MA. He is the eldest son of the late Mother Pearlean Woodberry and the proud big brother of the late Deacon Edwin Woodberry Sr. At the age of 8 Elder Woodberry was exposed to the ministry and his first personal experience with the Lord at the age of 12.

Elder Woodberry accepted his call at the age of 19 while attending school at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. He had an encounter with the Holy Ghost in his dorm room. Hearing the Word and God confirmed his call to the ministry. During his time at ORU, Elder Woodberry traveled in ministry extensively with the Souls A’ Fire travel group. They traveled on the west coast of the United States during the summer of 1988.

Elder Woodberry was licensed to preach in August of 1989 and ordained as an elder in 1991, under the leadership of Bishop A. Livingston Foxworth, Senior Pastor of Grace Church of All Nations in Boston, MA. He engaged in various types of ministry during this time, i.e. Feeding the Homeless, Missions to Trinidad and Tobago, Women’s Prison Ministry, Chief Praise and Worship Leader. During this time Elder Woodberry formed an evangelistic team. Where he extensively trained men and women who were called into the ministry.

On December 6, 1995 Elder Woodberry was ordained as Pastor of Worship under the ministry of Bishop A. Livingston Foxworth. Elder Woodberry was a key element in the reorganization of the all ministries that had anything to do with the worship experience; from the ushers to the elders a change was brought about that added increase to the local fellowship.

Elder Woodberry was not satisfied there. He began to venture outside the four walls of the church and got heavily involved in street ministry targeting the youth. He was part of a program called Operation 2006, which combated head on the youth on youth violence in the city of Boston that had gotten out of control. He had publicly spoken to every high school, middle and elementary school in the city of Boston. He was mention in the 1997 June issue of Newsweek Magazine “God vs. Gangs”.

To this day Elder Woodberry continues working with high at risk youth in the city of Boston. He is a supervisor for the Department of Youth Services working with incarcerated juvenile delinquents. He also coaches youth football, which he loves to do.

He is a much sought after speaker in the areas of family issues, youth issues, male issues, leadership and church development. He provides counseling, encouragement and support to various leaders in the community.

He has a heart for the hurting and disenfranchised of our society. His is a fine example of a father, and role model. He is the father of two daughters and lives in the Boston area.

Judges 13:1-5

The vow of the Nazarite: In the Hebrew, the word translated Nazarite is nazir which means “unshorn” (as of hair) or “unpruned” (as a vine). It is derived from another Hebrew word nazar which means “to hold aloof,” “to abstain,” or “to separate.” Another variant of this word is nezer, which is used to refer to something set…
