About Me: (Ministry Info, Hobbies, Fav. Music etc.): Evangelist Demetria High is a native of Rome, Georgia and currently resides in Dallas, Georgia with her husband, Rev. Clarence High, Jr. Together they have seven children and ten grandchildren. She is a member of the Thankful Baptist Church in Rome, Georgia where she served as Children/Youth Director for over 20 years and served as Youth Advisor. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of a monthly newsletter for the Quite, Unique, Elegant, Extraordinary, & Necessary woman of today entitled “The Q.U.E.E.N.”
Her newsletter is geared toward sharing, teaching, reaching, inspiring, and uplifting women of all walks of life in every race, age, and religion. It has been circulating and touching the lives of many in the states of Georgia, Tennessee, California, New York, Washington, D.C., Ohio, and Virginia (to name a few) and countries such as Canada and Iraq. She is also preparing to launch a “Y-ME” (Young Mothers Excelling) Program for young mothers ages 18-30 that will assist, teach, and guide them as to how to love themselves and to know who they are in Christ.
She has served as the Chief Clerk of Court at the Floyd County Juvenile Court in Rome, Georgia for the past seventeen years. She received her Associate of Ministry Degree in Sacred Literature from Covington Theological Seminary. She also holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Forensic Psychology from Kaplan University. She has been accepted into the graduate program at Capella University where she will pursue her Masters of Human Services Degree with a specialization in Counseling Studies.
She has a heart for today’s youth, young women, and all women alike and strongly believes that pouring into the life of a person and making a difference is an awesome blessing. She is allowing God to use her in youth, women, and prison ministries. Once a teenage mother herself, she realized that if a difference was going to be made in the life of a mother, single or married, someone would have to spend some quality time with them and she has dedicated herself to such. She has experienced many struggles in her life, from low self-esteem to abuse, so she is uniquely called and equipped to minister and to mentor women through her ministry. She does not believe in giving up or giving in; but in giving it your all to reach your destiny!
Her Motto: "If I can help somebody as I pass along; If I can cheer somebody with a word or a song; If I can show somebody who is traveling wrong; then my living shall not be in vain".
