- Jonathan A. Knowlin, was born to Sharon Knowlin on September 5, 1985 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As a young man he began his journey and mission for the kingdom of God. Growing up and attending William's Memorial A.M.E. Church, he became active in church at the young age of 4, singing with the “Singing Angels Inspirational Choir.” As he grew in the church and with the choir, not knowing of his call to the music ministry he began to also direct. In 1993, Knowlin became a member of Pilgrim Christian Universal Church. There he again joined the youth choir, junior usher board, became a drummer, and began to receive training as a junior deacon. As the years transgressed, the transitioning of his musical gifts began to flourish as he joined the L. L. Ward Chorale. Years went by before he again was elevated to the next level of his ministry. Jonathan attended and graduated from Northeast High School. There became a big brother and junior counselor to many. Making a big impact on his classmate by being focused sole on his education and spreading the gospel, many of his peers began to unknowingly prophesy over his life by titling him with titles such as Preacher, Pastor, Evangelist, Prophet and more. By not being ashamed to speak of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in just a few years he won many souls to Kingdom. In the year 2002, Jonathan was divinely connected to his current pastor Bishop Elaine Buchanan, the Pastor/founder, of The Church of the Living and Holy God. Once again God had strategically placed him in a position to be raised to a higher call in his life. He in just a few months time became an active member and youth leader at his church. There he also discovered that he had been anointed to play the keyboard. Because of his faithfulness, diligence, and love towards his ministry and gospel music was appointed as one of the ministers of music in the church. It was after joining this ministry he began to accept the call to preach the word of God. In the same year becoming a member he preached his very first sermon for a youth convention and has been preaching and ministering God's word ever since. In the year 2007, he became a member of the anointed sound of “The Ministry of Reject” under the leadership of Minister Carol Powell. There he learned more of the responsibility of being on the front line of the music arena. After applying the teachings that he has received throughout the years of ministry, in 2008 he founded his very own God given Ministry, “Purposed 4 Praise.” A ministry of music that is derived of young people after the same purpose for the kingdom of God, to minister the word through song and expecting and seeking after change and deliverance to take place in the hearts and lives of those who listen. Today, after learning that there will be man hardship, trials, tribulations and even mistakes he is now known as the anointed Minister/Psalmist Jonathan A. Knowlin and now the founder of Reconstructive Praise Covenant Ministries. THE GARMENTS THAT I USED TO WEAR DO NOT LABEL ME. THE GARMENT THAT YOU REMEMBER WEARING ARE BURRIED IN THE GRAVE. IN THE TOMB YOU WILL FIND NOTHING MORE THAN THE GARMENTS THAT I ONCE HAD ON BECAUSE THE REAL AND NEW ME HAS RISEN TO THE SURFACE NEVER TO SLEEP AGAIN. ASK YOURSELF, HAVE I BURRIED MY OLD GARMENTS, THE OLD MAN FOR YOU SUPER SPIRITUAL WITH THE HOLIER THAN THOU SPIRIT. HAS THE OLD MAN BEEN BURRIED SO THE CHRIST IN YOU MAY COME ALIVE COMPLETELY.
