We Brethren in Christ have been a praying people. We declare that deep intimacy with our Lord is found in living prayerfully. Prayer is God’s way of changing us and creating in us a life which is transformed and Christ-like. It is in the process of praying that we meet God and open ourselves to the Holy Spirit’s leading us to imitate Jesus Christ.

That’s why every congregation and every person who identifies with the Brethren in Christ is encouraged to make prayer foundational to everything they are and do. Remain blessed

James 5:1-20: The author warns the rich that God calls for justice for all people. Then he tells the followers of Christ to be patient until the Lord returns, to avoid swearing or making oaths, and to pray for others, especially for those who have turned away from God.
