God, the Angel and the Golden Butterfly
In Kimberly Smith's debut book, God, the Angel and the Golden Butterfly she tells the story of her life. Issues of acceptance, death, marriage, divorce, alcoholism and many other issues faced by today's society, but most importantly it tells a story of a relationship formed between her and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Smith's story is a modern day riches to rags, happiness to sadness and to hell and back journey that show and proves that faith is not a test for the mediocre of heart. She hopes this journal of her life will inspire and motivate her readers that you can do anything through the Word of God, regardless of the limitations that you feel the enemy has placed in front of you.
Christ who gives us strength, knowledge and wisdom to accomplish all of our hopes, desires, and dreams wants us to be nothing less than conquerors in our lifetime. We all have the ability to use our faith and keep the faith, but just remember it is not how you start but how you finish that counts.
Smith was the product of a push and pull marriage where her alcoholic mother loathed her and her loving dad cherished her as a gift from God. Her dad raised her to think regardless of what people say or feel about you, all things are possible through Christ which strengthens you. Years later she found this to be true after losing almost everything she had. Starting with her beloved Dad, begging for food and money from her friends and even sometimes strangers, she found herself flat on her face with no one to turn to except the Lord. Turn to Him she did, and now she refuses to let go of her Heavenly Father, because she knows He is the only one that can bring you out.
She is a living testimony and proof that the Word of God, The BIBLE (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) coupled with faith and obedience is the solution for success and happiness.
Kimberly is an Alcorn State University alumnus who majored in English Communications. She has been an active member of church serving on the Board of Directors, The Women’s Ministry, The Hospitality Committee, The Anniversary Committee and The Choir.

”Now, that I have a better understanding in hindsight; my only true downfall was my lack of faith. My earlier understanding was that my rescuer was my earthly father. He was always there, but when he passed, I found out that I truly had another father; the greatest father of all who is in heaven making the impossible; possible. The insurmountable; surmountable and makes the most inane situations full of glory."
