- Lloyd Tyrell Alston, a resident of High Point, North Carolina and the youngest of four male children born to Deaconess Sandra A. Alston and the late Deacon T. C. Alston, received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and was baptized by immersion at the South Street Missionary Baptist Church under the hand of the late Pastor Ernest Battle, Sr. There, he grew and matured in God while starting to sing and develop a deep passion for music, praise, and worship beginning at the tender age of three (3). Seeking the fullness of the Gospel, he broke family tradition and left the Baptist church and embraced Pentecostalism through the Church of God in Christ (Greater North Carolina Jurisdiction – Bishop Leroy Jackson Woolard, Jurisdictional Prelate), of whom he attributes his training and grounding in ministry and Episcopal affairs to.
Believing that one must “study to show themselves approved,” he was a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the Northwest Halifax High School. For ministry preparation, he graduated from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology of Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia with the Graduate of Theology degree in Systematic Theology, with highest honors. He then went on to walk “the sloping hills and the verdant green” of North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina, graduating with Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Literature, Education, and Vocal Music, with specialties in English and History. He is a candidate for the Master of Education degree in Education Administration, specializing in School Leadership at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. He plans to finish his studies for the Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Leadership upon completion of the Master of Education degree. Vocationally, he is an Adjunct Professor in the Adult Basic Education department at Guilford Technical Community College in High Point, North Carolina.
Lloyd heeded the call to the Gospel ministry when he was 10 years old and has been serving in the Gospel ministry for the past 20 years. On the national circuit, he is the Chief of Protocol of the Kingdom Power Fellowship Covenant of Churches, with world headquarters in Los Angeles, California and General Secretary of the Kingdom Builders Association of America, Incorporated, with world headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas. Since his affirmation in the five-fold as an Apostle and Pastor, he has been highly sought after as a 21st century Episcopal father providing leadership, covering, and Episcopal prowess to churches and ministers as the Prelate & General Overseer of the Greater Kingdom Covenant Fellowship, Incorporated, a correlation of Christian churches, ministries and para-ministries, pastors and ministers who recognize the need for networking, accountability, fellowship, trust and integrity, and an outlet for resource facilitation, headquartered in High Point, North Carolina. To the local body of Christ, he is the Establishmentarian and Set-Gift of the Greater Destiny Worship Center, Incorporated and the Chancellor of the Greater Works Academy both located in Reidsville, North Carolina.
