- At the age of 15 God called and commissioned Shelton to preach and teach the euiongilion (good news) of Jesus the Christ to this age. He accepted this call and began training that encompassed a five year period and culminated with him being officially licensed to the gospel ministry on April 3, 2005.
He was born and reared in Macon, Ga. to the parentage of Shelton and Nancy Brown, Sr. He joined Athena and later they were joined by Fantasia. His paternal grandmother, Essie Mae Brown still lives and plays a vital role in his Christian walk. He was educated in the public school systems of Bibb County and graduated in 2002 from Southeast High School. He joined the Beulahland Bible Church at an early age and has been an active member since 1994. While he studied as a Minister In Training he served in many capacities within the church including but not limited to Youth Leader, Sunday School teacher, New Members Coordinator, Class 201 ( Discovering Spiritual Maturity) Instructor, and Intercessor.
Currently he serves as the Minister of Congregational Care - New Members Division at the Beulahland Bible Church (one church in two locations) under the leadership of Pastor Maurice Watson who is also his Spiritual Father. He is presently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Macon State College.
His scripture to live by is “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD." Isaiah 61:1-3
