About Me: (Ministry Info, Hobbies, Fav. Music etc.): Gregory Dawon Pearl, better known as ChangeLyfe, was born in Kansas City, Mo and raised in Kansas City, Ks. As a young boy, ChangeLyfe had big dreams of being a famous rapper. He began writing lyrics his sixth grade year. Not really having much to rap about, he used what he seen on t.v. and what other rappers said as his source. After years and years of perfecting his craft, he soon would find his own topic to rap about. Which was how good he could rap, a very prideful rapper he was going nowhere fast.

After 70+ tracks recorded, a few groups and a solo trip later he reached his breaking point. What was once a dream became a nightmare, hip hop had took control of his life. “Hip Hop became my god, I wanted nothing more than being a famous rapper.” ChangeLyfe thought weed, pills, and liquor would inspire him to be the artist he always dreamed of being. On a road to destruction he was headed.

So many calls from God he finally answered. Ready to give up music forever and follow Christ. For once in his life he was on the right track. But God didn’t won’t to take from ChangeLyfe what He put in him. Music was a gift from God, He just wanted ChangeLyfe to use it to glorify Him and not his self. So with a major change in his life came a major change in his music.

After signing to Praise Him Records in 2011, he has now been in Dallas, Austin, Louisana and St. Louis on “The God Is Love Tour”. He was a part of a play called “Can You Hear Me Now” at the American Center, that was hosted by the NAACP. ChangeLyfe has also launched his own label (J 3:16 Recordz) under Praise Him Records. The future looks bright for this young man.

ChangeLyfe is currently working on his debut EP “Tha Re-Dedication Project” due to release late 2012. His single “Take Me Home” feat. Keona & D. Theoplis is due to release April 4th 2012. Stay Tuned!
