I am a refined, submitted and anointed woman of God. Using the world as my pulpit, I am loving individuals, impacting communities and changing a GENERATION through the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. Distinctively Necessarily Different on Purpose!!! Kingdom Charm School is my new initiative to awaken the virtue in the woman of God and bring us back to a place of class, grace, modesty, humility and God-fearing ladies as daughter of the King! Below is a little about what God has anointed me to do over the years:

Nicole Barnes is a native of Louisville, KY and was raised in Shepherd Square housing projects by her God-fearing mother, the Late Ruby D. Harmon. While in high school, she acknowledged her call to ministry. Her pastor affirmed the call and allowed her to preach her first sermon at the tender age of 17. She has ministered in various arenas including street revivals, youth/adult prisons, conferences, retreats and churches. Now, a well respected, humble woman of God, she preaches an uncompromising enthusiastic Word that is changing lives for the better as sons and daughters are being reconciled back to the Father. She is balanced in the things of God and her sweet spirit is a contagious force. To God be the glory! She is a servant's servant, a mentor, songwriter, recording worshipper, published author, playwright and businesswoman. Nicole has a word of RESTORATION in her mouth and the mandate on her life is to equip the saints to walk in dominion, living free from guilt, shame and condemnation. Her first book, “Restoration of the B.A.D. Girl” is an inspirational autobiography that has been an instrument of healing to thousands. In it, she shares a very vulnerable testimony, filled with over 100 scripture references that will empower the reader to get back on course to destiny. Creatively, it was released with her debut CD, “Restored”. As the founder and CEO of Sweet Spirit Productions, KY, she presented to Louisville, KY, the gospel stage play, loosely based off of her book, in which she wrote, directed, produced and co-starred in. Her second book, Anointed, Appointed and Approved for my Assignment was released in September 2007. It is a favorite of many! Her newly written booklet, Live Your Best Life Today has gotten rave reviews by partners and friends of the ministry! She hosted a dynamic D.R.E.A.M. conference in May 2007. In 2008, she launched Sweet Spirit Empowerment Group (S.S.E.G.), a mentorship program designed for women who work in the ministry.

Favorite Preachers:

Men and women of God who love the people of God and who are anointed, skilled, bold, refined and captivating as they teach/preach the Word! I enjoy of the ministries of Bishop T.D. Jakes, Dr. Jazmin Scurlock, Dr. Kevin Cosby & Dr. Cindy Trimm and a few others, but at this point, I do not have a favorite preacher.

Tattoos and the Women of God, do they MIX?

I have been amazed at some the trends that I am beginning to see regularly at churches. For some reason, although I admit I am a little old school, I don't feel like this is what God meant by being modest, set apart and a royal priesthood. Many sisters are getting tattooed faster than they are learning the virtues in Proverbs 31. Tattooing their necks, arms, legs, thighs and even their faces!!!
