About Me: (Ministry Info, Hobbies, Fav. Music etc.): Praise the Lord. I am Pastor Barnabas Sahota. I was born and brought up in a Christian family, but my father was very poor. He was a pastor. Before my birth, my parents dedicated my life to serving God. However, because of our poverty, I did not want to serve God. I used to tell my dad “You are a poor man . What did God give you? So I did not want to serve God . I used to abuse God. People used to come to church, but never come back again. I was very upset in my life all the time. My father used to rebuke us so I never had love from my parents in my life. Then I thought I would go to steal money to meet my family's needs. At that time, I also started to go in with bad friends. I even had a relation with a married woman so a doctor then told me I had H.I.V. or AIDS. He said if the infection increased, I would suffer a lot. I did not have money to get medicine. At that time, my father told my brother that he would send him to Bible School, but my brother said “Send Barnabas because he getting into trouble.” Then, I went to Bible College. When I went there, the infection became worse. I was very upset. Then, I went to another doctor who told me “take this medicine and don’t be afraid...”. I started praying to God “Please save me. At the college, I started to cry before God “If you save me from this sickness, I will give my whole life for your work. I don't want to die in this way. if you want take my life, let me be a martyr in the ministry for your work” . I kept on praying about this and repented of my sins and accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour in Grace Bible College. My life was totally changed and God healed me. Then I told Jesus, “Lord, please bless me with the same power that you healed me with. Lord, bless me with the power of the Holy Spirit”. And He did and started to use me mightily so people are getting healed. After the Bible School, God led me to marry my wife from Bathinda. We had a very rough poor life. We asked God “Why is it like this?” Then the Spirit of God told us to leave our home. We left when my wife was eight months pregnant. We took nothing with us -- only five hundred rupees, which was spent along the way. We had no place to live. Then I went somewhere to do translation into the Hindi language, but when I worked, I was told I could not do it. We had no place to stay. Then, God opened the door for me to go to a Bible College to teach. The Director told me to be the dean so we had a place to stay and food to eat. After many months, the Spirit of God told us to leave the College and go for field ministry. We left and went to Bathinda - the other side of the Punjab. Now we are building a church and doing ministry there. God is using us greatly. This is my testimony. Please pray for us always. Thanks.
