Ray Jones was born on June 5, 1979 to Rev. Gregory and Mrs. Wilhelmina Jones in Nashville, Tennessee. Immediately Ray emerged as an over comer be being born under some very difficult circumstances. At the age of three, his parents divorced. They agreed upon joint custody with visitation rights. Ray and his older sister Allietta and younger brother Gregory spent most his youth on the inner city streets of Nashville, Tennessee. From the very beginning, Ray was active in church; he had an unusual love for God and His scriptures. Ray gave his life to Christ and was baptized at the Holiday Hills Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas, while spending the summer with his father at the age of eight. Immediately after accepting Christ, Ray started on a journey searching for purpose and meaning. This quest was long and hard. Ray returned home to Nashville that fall with good intentions on becoming the best witness for Christ that he could be. Unfortunately, life took a harsh turn; Ray’s mother was remarried and did her best to eliminate his father from their lives. The man that she married physically abused Ray and his younger brother for five years. Ray became a very angry, hurt and violent teenager. God still had his hand on him; Ray emerged from this tragic time in his life and refocused on God with the help of many great mentors, family and friends. God rebuilt his relationship with both of his parents and the abusive stepfather left the home. Ray dealt with his anger by refocusing his energy in athletics. Ray played football and wrestled in high school, where he achieved success in both sports. He soon graduated in the top percentage of his class with an honors diploma, an ACE academic award from the state of Tennessee for scholastic achievement, a perfect scholastic career with absolutely no failed courses.
Due to the possible financial strain to his mother and remaining younger siblings, he decided to delay college for a career in the U.S. Air Force. Ray had a great career in the Air Force, where he discovered his leadership ability and advanced greatly both professionally and spiritually. He excelled quickly in rank despite some racial injustices. Ray traveled the world for his job, living in places including Germany, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, Italy, and many other countless locations. Ray accepted his call to preach and preached his first sermon in a church plant in Mackenbach, Germany. God soon called him to separate from the military and seek to do ministry full-time in 2003. Ray was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 2003 and moved to Dallas, Texas to pursue his calling. In Dallas, he achieved both academic and spiritual success along with finding the love of his life, Neystal Howard, whom he met at local revival that his father was preaching in Fort Worth. They were married July 29, 2005. Ray and Neystal (Neicy) presently reside in Cedar Hill, Texas and soon plan to have children. Ray currently serves his home church as an Associate Minister and Security Manager (Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, Dallas, TX). Min. Jones is now a licensed and ordained minister with exceptional character and reputation. Min. Jones specializes in dealing with senior adults, young-adults (both couples and singles), teenagers and at-risk people of all ages. He also has the diversity to deal masterfully with others. Min. Jones preaches an uncompromised gospel, emphasizing purity and God’s love for all people.
