Chapter 2
BRIGHT MORNING STAR
The B’s

In the beginning, where it began, the builder of life saw the broken bridge between His beloved Father and us. He drew a blueprint to a blameless and unblemished body, so that He could take upon His back all our sins to give us a breakthrough. He not only gave us a breakthrough, but He also gave us a brand new bridge by His bruised body bleeding on two boards on Cavalry. The only Begotten Son, Jesus, walked to the balcony of Eternity, left immortality, and came to a world of brutality. Jesus, born in a manger in His birthplace of Bethlehem, was about His Father’s business. Jesus was blessed from birth, born as a King. Wise men bowed down to Jesus and brought Him blessings at His birthplace.
Jesus’ brothers and sisters did not believe in Him and treated Him as the black sheep of the family. His family did not know that He came as a blameless lamb to bring man back to God. John the Baptist baptized Jesus in the power of His beloved Father. Jesus battled the backbiters, busybodies, and blasphemers on the backside of Bethany. He preached on the mountain, gave us the “Beatitudes,” and gave a picture of the
bridegroom at the banquet with his bride. Jesus‟ blessed biography is in every book of the Bible. He gave the beginning in Genesis, beat the Pharaoh, and brought people out of bondage in Exodus. He brought balance when He gave the law in Leviticus. In Revelation, He opened up and closed the Book of Life and sent the Beast to the bottomless pit. He could not be bribed or bought. Nor was He biased, because He offered benevolence and benefits to all, especially to those who believed. He became a blessing to bless the broken, beaten, bruised, and battered people with shattered dreams. Jesus gave sight to blind Bartimaeus and put a broken man back together, telling him to take up his bed and walk. The name of Jesus healed a beggar by the gate called Beautiful and a woman who had a blood disorder. He brought balance back to a little boy’s life when He changed his bad ending and gave him a new beginning. A beloved woman, who was bent over and bound, became blessed because Jesus spoke a blessing over her body. Jesus broke bread with His disciples in Bethpage, grieved at His best friend’s funeral, and brought Lazarus back to life.
The people began to bless Him and bowed down to Him. Still, some began to backbite Him and belittle Him by calling Him a blasphemer. Then, people became bitter toward Jesus. The Romans brought Him bound in chains and set Barabbas free. Pilate tried to plea bargain, but the crowd was belligerent. They beat Jesus and whipped Him with a belt made of spikes. Yes, I am talking about Jesus! In spite of being bruised and beaten, Christ stood bold before the blasphemers and backbiters without saying a word.
Jesus took the burdens of the world on His shoulders; blood ran down His back. They blindfolded and beat Him. Jesus was bruised for our iniquities and nailed to two boards for our transgressions. Jesus breathed His last breath. Then, they buried Him in a borrowed tomb. Jesus’ body remained there for three days. The world became bewildered and bizarre because early on the Third day—not Friday, not Saturday, but Sunday—Jesus came out of the black, borrowed tomb.
