Pastor Daniel B. McKizzie was born on October 23, 1957 in Minneapolis, MN. He is the youngest of three sons born to Ms. Edna McKizzie. Brothers, Kevin and Duane Temple are deceased.

He is the devoted Husband of Annie McKizzie, and proud father of LaShawna Ferguson, Denise McKizzie, Bruce Gray Jr., Brandon Gray-McKizzie, Derrick Roberts, Denise Roberts, Danielle McKizzie, Keith McGhee, Justin Haynes, Jasmine Haynes, Charles Owens-McKizzie, Cornell Owens-McKizzie, Candice McKizzie, Camron McKizzie and Javaree McKizzie. He is also the proud Grandfather of Andre Gray, Jaden Gray, Arianna Gray, Braylan Gray, Isaiah Bridges-McKizzie, Daniel Malachi McKizzie, Brandon Finley-Mckizzie and Kamariana Haynes.

Pastor McKizzie graduated from Washburn High School, attended the University of Minnesota (Mpls) College of Liberal Arts, and received a Master Of Divinity Degree from Luther Seminary in May 2002. Pastor McKizzie received an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from St. Thomas Christian College in May 2009.

In June 1996, Pastor McKizzie was ordained a Deacon at Redeemer Missionary Baptist Church in Minneapolis, MN. In May 1997, he answered the call to the Ministry and preached his initial sermon titled “You Can Run But You Can’t Hide”. In April of 2001 he was ordained a Minister at
Redeemer Missionary Baptist Church.

In June 2001, Pastor Mckizzie and family removed their membership from Redeemer Missionary Baptist Church and started ministering to the elderly at Walker Methodist Nursing Home. He was compelled to spend the last months, of his Grandmother Mary Boone’s life, preaching the gospel and singing hymns of praise to those who had been forgotten. During this Fellowship New Creation Baptist Church was founded by Pastor McKizzie.

Two months after the death of his Grandmother, New Creation Baptist Church began sharing the worship facilities at Epiphany Lutheran Church. In August of 2008 New Creation Baptist Church became owners of the building.

Pastor McKizzie and his wife Annie were nominated by Senator Norm Coleman in 2005 as “Angels Of Adoption” and received this prestigious award in Washington D.C. for the State of Minnesota. In the past 13 years they have welcomed into their home over seventy foster children and have adopted five.

When Pastor McKizzie was asked to make a statement about entering the ministry and pastoring he quoted the following scripture: II Corinthians 5:17-18 which reads, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, and the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.” Then he said, “Therefore my goal in life is to serve God by preaching, teaching and reaching the lost for Jesus Christ.”
