- Dear Friends, Praise the Lord! Here in Rev. Samuel Maduma from Tanzania. I work as a Country Coordinator with a Ministry which called Christian Formation Ministries. we use to teach the Christians to understand their faith and bring the gospel to unreached people. I am asking for prayers concerning my ministry. Read below to see an overview of the Ministry:
CHRISTIAN FORMATION MINISTRIES, TANZANIA
Christian Formation Ministries in Tanzania is an evangelical mission which operating in complete unity with Christian Formation Ministries which is an official Ministry of the Reformed Episcopal Church, Board of foreign Mission. The ministry was started in America in 1982 under its founders Lay Canon Criswell Fouse and Reverend Canon William E. Blewett.
Christian Formation Ministries, Tanzania started its activities in 2002 enthusiastically embracing Christian Formation Ministries in it commitment to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to the ends of the Earth and in devotion to the teaching and practice of the one, holy Catholic and Apostolic Church; emulating the successful method and practice Jesus Himself used in creating disciples. The early Church had the wisdom to follow this example that is the reason why today Christianity which started in the Middle East is in worldwide.
In the like of Christian Formation Ministries, the Tanzania ministry has been active in teaching the Christian faith using the Catechumenal method originally used by the early Church in the formation of disciples in response to the great commission.
The main aim of this ministry in Tanzania is to teach the fundamental elements of the Christian Faith to students (Christians) and bring them into living relationship with Jesus Christ or deepen the already existing unit then with one another in an experience of what it means to be the body of Christ. To date the ministry has covered and achieved a sound significance in the Anglican Diocese of Kiteto, the home of the Country ministry head office under the supervision of Reverend Samuel Maduma who is Ministry Coordinator in Tanzania.
Reverend Samuel Maduma, himself is a committed Christian who is spirit filled and devoted to the method and practice of the ministry. The Ministry has also introduced in some other Anglican Dioceses like, Anglican Diocese of Shinyanga, Anglican Diocese of Ruvuma and Anglican Diocese of Kagera. The achievements have been realized in the three pioneer dioceses and records show that the Diocese of Kiteto has made 6,000 disciples, Diocese of Kagera 2500 disciples and Diocese of Shinyanga have made 4400 disciples, and more disciples respectively, amidst the many challenges which face the ministry/programme activities.
