- Pastor Holmes made Jesus Christ Lord of his life in 1981. He immediately submitted himself to the Pastoral care of the late Elder Walter Meadows who was the Pastor of his father and mother at Good Shepherd Church of Christ for many years.
In 1986 he was ordained into the ministry at Good Shepherd and in the same year he married his lovely wife, Barbara Jones of New Brunswick and they both served as President and Vice President of the Young Peoples Department at Good Shepherd Church. They moved to New Brunswick, NJ in 1989 and joined Full Gospel Bibleway Church under the Pastoral care of Elder Clarence Harper and Mother Lillian Ford, both of whom went on to be with the Lord.
In 1995, they moved back to Jersey City and became members of Know Thy Neighbor Church and were cover by Bishop Richard Greene.
In 2002, Pastor Holmes was directed by The Spirit of God to join Jersey City Deliverance Center under the leadership and tutelage of Apostle Eugene and First Lady Ruby Stackhouse. He was ordained as a minister. In this ministry he was installed with his wife, Barbara as Pastor of El Shaddai Deliverance Center by Pastor Stackhouse where he now resides as Pastor and Founder.
Pastor Holmes Church and his ministry are based solely on the integrity of God’s Word and faith in the reality of that Word becoming true in peoples’ lives in every area. He operates in the five-fold ministry office of Pastor and teacher and delivers revelation, truth and knowledge from the Word in an anointed, easy to understand teaching expression that causes growth, maturity and confident boldness in the lives of everyone who hears it.
Pastor Holmes and his wife host a television broadcast on Comcast Cable in Jersey City every Sunday evening at 9:00 PM and a radio broadcast, 1070 AM our of Plainfield NJ on Harvest Radio on Sunday mornings at 7:00 AM called “Faith Cometh by Hearing” broadcast.
