- Union Baptist Fellowship is comprised of Churches in the Baptist tradition. Organized under the visionary leadership of our current President, Reverend Ronald S. Smith, in 2003, the purpose of UBF is to encourage and empower Baptist Churches by uniting our member churches to work for global impact through spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
UBF works to support evangelism, discipleship, world missions, benevolence, sanctity of human life, religious liberties, and to support and represent Baptists throughout the world for the advancement of the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ.
The Goals of the UBF
- To promote the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ through baptist churches
- To unite, promote, plant and support baptist churches
- To afford local baptist churches participation in global evangelism
- To unite baptist churches in the defense of the sanctity of human life
- To unite baptist churches in the defense of religious freedoms
UBF Statement of Faith
We affirm that the protestant Bible is the absolute inerrant and infallible word of God. We affirm a sovereign God, who exists eternally as one God revealed in three persons: co-equal, co-eternal, and co-existent. We affirm the person of Jesus Christ as being two natures perfectly joined with distinction yet without separation, both full divinity and full humanity at once. We affirm the person of the Holy Spirit and the necessity of His immediate baptism and indwelling in the life of every believer. We affirm the virgin birth, bodily resurrection, and expectancy of the physical second advent of the Lord Jesus Christ. We affirm that salvation is by grace, through faith, in the finished work of Christ on the cross alone, apart from any other human agency or work, and that such message is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We affirm believer’s baptism by submersion upon confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We affirm the proper government of the local church as being autonomous and congregationally ruled. (We encourage the adoption of the London Baptist Confession of 1689 as a comprehensive statement of faith.)
