About Me: (Ministry Info, Hobbies, Fav. Music etc.): WILLIE B. WHITE is a native Alabamian, grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, where she attended George Washington Carver High School.

Ms. White relocated to Detroit, where she attended Marygrove College, majoring in Computer Science and obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree. Ms. White worked for the I.R.S. for many years as a Computer Software supervisor. Later, Ms. White gained employment for a number of years at General Motors Cadillac Division as a Prototype Engineer while teaching at Jordan Community College in Detroit. She has a wealth of teaching experiences, both at the community college level and grades K-12.

In 1999, Ms. White attended Central Michigan University, Troy, Michigan, where she earned a Masters of Arts in Education. While working on her Certificate of Progress Program in Christian Education (COPP), at Metropolitan District Congress of Christian Education under the auspices of the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, Nashville, TN. She published her first article, “Reflection of the Lord’s Prayer” (The Informer 2001, and The Acts of Forgiveness 2003). In addition, Ms. White has completed the Dean and Presidents Seminar (2006) from the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education in Nashville, TN. She has done additional studies at Ecumenical Theological (2002) in their Master of Divinity program in Detroit, MI. Ms. White continued to write religious articles to be published, which include (A) My Faith Journey, (B) the Healing of Forgiveness, (C) the Effectiveness of a Smile, (published, Penned from the Heart, 2006) (D) Inner Peace, (published, Penned from the Heart, 2006) (E) the Family and (F) the Works of the Holy Spirit. Theses’ to be published as journal articles are: “The Role of Education in the mission of the Christian church and The Realities and Consequences of Social Promotion emotional behavior students.”
Ms. White has been a Sunday school teacher at her local church, Northwest Unity MBC, Detroit, MI, for thirty years and has taught Christian Education in her district, Metropolitan District Congress of Christian Education, Detroit, MI for the past ten years. Ms. White answered the call to teach under the founding Pastor, Rev. Ozzie Clark.

In 2006, Ms. White’s essay on “Escalating Home Prices” was published in the Authors of Tomorrow. Her book, “The Lord is My Shepherd,” on the 23rd Psalm, was published on December 3, 2007. This book takes an in-depth look at the 23rd psalm, which depicts God as the good shepherd. Ms. White has completed her second book, “An Expose on the Holy Spirit,” to be published in 05/2008.

Ms. White's weekly articles appear in the Oakland press in Oakland County, MI, and can be read online at www.theoakpress.com under the religious section. She is currently working on her third book, an educational piece. This book deals with the social promotion of our emotional behavior students, youth, and young adults. Social promotion is an important topic that needs addressing because it affects the future of our children.

Her love for books and literature has always motivated her to read. She is an avid reader.

She resides in West Bloomfield, Michigan, was married to Solomon White, and they have three grown sons. When she is not writing, she enjoys cooking, walking, and sports activities such as watching baseball, football, golf, and basketball. She loves to travel.
