It is easier to be touched with the feeling of someone else's infirmity when you've suffered through it yourself. If we're insensitive we can hurt the very people we're trying to encourage. We don't know what they've been through or what they may be dealing with, that's what makes assumptions so dangerous, because instead of really ministering to the needs of an individual, we end up frustrating the person by trying to help according to what we think we know or understand. [Habakkuk 2:1-3 New Living Translation] - (1) I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the Lord says and how he will answer my complaint. (2) Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. (3) This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

In 1st CORINTHIANS CH.12, Paul discusses the extraordinary offices and powers bestowed upon ministers (true disciples) for the conversion of unbelievers, and the distribution and reproduction of the gospel.



Here, in the 12th Chapter of 1st Corinthians, Paul is talking about GIFTS (Charismata), not GRACES (Charis) - the two are distinctly different! BOTH ARE FREELY GIVEN BY GOD, however.......

I came across a scripture today that I heard preached by a traveling evangelist. What was so significant about my memory of this scripture is the fact that the evangelist totally misinterpreted the scripture.
