How Are The Attitudes In Your Church?

This lesson examined work that members need to do in the local church. But in order for the church to succeed, proper work must be accompanied by proper attitudes. Here are some attitudes that all Christians need in order to maintain proper relationships in the local church.

God Only Wants You To Trust Him

Just When Quitting Crossed Your Mind

It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever experienced a time in your life when everything became overwhelming? No matter what you did or how you did it, weariness consumed your body. No matter how much work you delegated, there was still much work to complete. No matter how many times friends and family told you to take a vacation, you could not see how and when it would be possible. Have you ever found yourself drowning in… Continue

Letter From Hell!!

One evening Louise fell asleep and had a very fitful dream.

She dreamed that someone in Hell wrote a letter to her; it was

to be hand-delivered. The Messenger passed between the

lakes of burning fire and brimstone that occupy Hell, and

found his way to the door leading to the outside world.

Louise dreamed that the Messenger walked to her house, came

inside, and gently but firmly woke her up. He handed her the

message, saying only that a friend had wrote… Continue

IS KEEPING YOUR PROMISE IMPORTANT?...Vows, Oaths and Promise!!!

Are pastors, politicians, world leaders, and everyone else, responsible for promises made? What about honesty and integrity, is there a double standard? How do you feel when someone makes a promise to you and doesn't keep their word or makes excuses to get out of it? If a "vow" is not faithfully honored then how can the person ever be trusted? Is keeping one's word really important and will God hold people accountable for what they promise? How can people believe a person who doesn't… Continue

Why do you think some non-Christians are nicer people than many professing Christians?

It's easy to be nice when things are going right in your life. By being in different shopping centers, I've witnessed people from all kinds of backgrounds change from smiling, happy people to ranting, raving lunatics in a matter of seconds because they were told something wasn't in their size, something couldn't be returned, or some other thing. Christians are people with good days and bad days. Since you cannot know what is going on in another person's life, it's unfair to judge a whole group… Continue

Do You Really Know What True Love Is?

True love is God’s kind of love. This is a love that protects, cherishes the person loved. It is agape love. Here is what the Bible says about true love:

"Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned."

~ Song of Solomon 8:7

There is a remedy for most diseases. There is a tonic that makes you younger. There is a heavenly substance that makes you more beautiful and… Continue

Have You Check Your Attitude Lately?

According to God’s word, when you become a Christian, a part of your new creation is the development of new attitudes — your attitude should become like that of Jesus. The Bible says, "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:" (Philippians 2:5). "You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off the old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds." (Ephesians 4:22 NIV)

Are You A Leader?

Through the years I've learned that leadership actually has many faces. The man or woman in whom I'd spotted leadership potential simply had a different style of leading than the more common leadership type to which he or she had compared himself or herself. Over time, as his or her style of leadership fell into sync with an appropriate leadership need in his church, he or she became a high-impact lay leader.

Different leaders often lead with dramatically different styles. As I can… Continue

14 Ways To Support Your Pastor...

Eph 4:11-16 (NKJV) “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, (12) for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, (13) till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

A Pastor is one of Christ’s five office gifts to the Church. Yes, pastoring is a gift... and a… Continue
