THE FOLDED FIST

A child happened to see in his house, a large number of sweet candies in a glass bottle with a narrow neck. He eagerly put his hand into the bottle and clasped a candy. He could not remove his hands from the bottle as he was reluctant to open his hand. He was worried and cried aloud. His parents came to him and asked him to open his hand and pull it out of the bottle. But he did not co-operate because he feared that he would lose the candy if he opened his hand. He tightened his grip on the… Continue

THE UNSEEN SCENES

Two patients in very serious condition were admitted to a room in a hospital. One patient was bedridden. The other one was in a better condition and could be held upright with external assistance. His bed was close to the only window in the room. Everyday he used to describe to his room-mate, the beauty of the world outside, as if he was observing the scenes through the window near his bed.

Enlightened by the encouraging words of his friend, the first man got better day by day. Inspired by… Continue

THE WEEK MEDICINE

Meditation for the week: 'BE GRATEFUL"

When you’re grateful to God for the things He has done for you, be sure that greater miracles are on the way. Apart from showing gratitude to God, be grateful to those around you. Always say, thank you for what they do for you. It pays to be a grateful person. For example, one day in the bible, the Lord Jesus had an encounter with ten lepers. They cried out to Him to have mercy on them, and the Lord told them to go and show themselves to the… Continue

A THANKFUL HEART

One day an old dog fell down into a barren well. The animal cried aloud. Its owner heard the cry but decided to abandon the dog, as it was very old and sick. The well was useless and so he decided to fill it with mud and bury the dog alive. His children and some workers came to his help. They began to shovel dirt into the well.

When each shovelful of dirt fell on his back, the dog would shake it off and take a step up. They continued to shovel dirt on top of the dog at maximum speed. But… Continue

NEVER FORGET JESUS IN THIS 2010

"Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest."

Luke 10: 2

King James Version

Many years ago I felt the call to missions and I told my pastor. He said there was an opening in the Missions Service Corps. He told me I would have to raise my own support so I went from church to church in our association speaking on missions and I raised my… Continue

Cave Babies

My friend told me how his daughter, little one-year-old, Tessa, was demanding to have the remote control for the television. He said she reminded him of a cave man, or perhaps a cave baby in this case, because of the way she was acting. She kept reaching and screaming for the remote. On a whim, my friend decided to give it to her and see just what she would do with it. Upon finally receiving the prized remote, she pushed the buttons over and over but nothing happened. She tried screaming at it… Continue

Missionary Recruit

A new missionary recruit went to Venezuela for the first time.

He was struggling with the language and didn't understand a

whole lot of what was going on. Intending to visit one of the

local churches, he got lost, but eventually got back on track

and found the place. Having arrived late, the church was

already packed. The only pew with a seat open was the one

on the front row.

So as not to make a fool of himself, this… Continue

How Rich Are We?

One day a father and his rich family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be.

They spent a day and a night on the farm of a very poor family. When they got back from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"

"Very good Dad!"

"Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked.

"Yeah!"

"And what did you learn?"

The son answered, "I saw that we have a dog at… Continue

True Servant in the Kingdom of God; preparing the earth for the return of the Bridegroom

I am writing this message for all honest seeking men and women of God who feel the call to serve the Lord Jesus Christ as a True Servant in the Kingdom of God; preparing the earth for the return of the Bridegroom.

“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their… Continue
