"The Lord’s Supper"

Christ instituted the Lord’s Supper in order for us to remember the great sacrifice He made for us and that we rely on Him and His sacrifice for our salvation. He gave us this memorial so we would not forget Him and what He did for us. In Luke 22:19, when Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper, He said, "Do this in remembrance of Me." This is done to help us remember the Lord and what He did for us.

The death of our Lord was not an accident. It was in God’s eternal plan of redemption for… Continue

"LOOKING UNTO JESUS"

"They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.” (Psalm 34:5)

It was impossible to predict when he would return.

He had three separate businesses that were quite successful. He also had three capable business managers in each of those businesses. The largest business had assets… Continue

"DIFFICULTY REQUIRES THE PRAYER OF PERSISTENT PATIENCE"

I want to focus our thinking today by using a familiar scripture in Luke 18:1-8. I encourage you to read with me.

Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart, saying, “In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect man. There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me legal protection from my opponent.’ For a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself,…
